"I'm so glad you guys were passing by! We thought we would be a goner!" You said, rubbing your blood and injuries with a wet towel you were given by a middle aged woman who owned a restaurant called "Seafood of the Twin Seas".The ceramic tea cup infront of you were steaming hot, as Nirie spoke up, "you both were incredibly injured! Did you guys get into fights?" He seems curious, classic Nirei.
"A-urm—" you placed the wet towel on Anzai's cheek, making him shut his mouth. "We did actually. Although, it was just some feral dogs chasing us, so i wouldn't call it a fight." You casually spit out a lie right through your teeth.
Despite your curiosity with Anzai's problem, maybe it was best to hide the situation temporarily before the victim left. Anzai, who glanced at you with a shock face, nodded almost instantly.
Kiryu whistle, "must be one feral dog for you guys to be injured like that." He said, leaning his elbow on the table infront of him. "Oh trust me, it is!" You said, scratching your own hair.
You glanced at Anzai who looked at you with his eyes softened, as if speaking internally to you that he was grateful that you didn't tell the truth. Then, he spoke up, "oh! The sun gonna be out! I need to go do something!" Anzai said as he stood up.
"Really? Don't you want to try the monja here?" You asks, while he put his shoes on already and catching the attention of the lady of the restaurant. "Boy, you should rest a little more!" "I'm fiiine!" Anzai answered.
"I'll try your monja later, ma'am! Thank you for the hospitality!" Anzai said as he walked out the door, before he stopped at the rear of the door and looked back to stare at you, "thanks for saving me too, (name)!" You nodded at him with a smile.
"See you guys at school!" He slides the door behind him, when the lady came out from her kitchen with a bag of freshly cooked food but it turns out he already left early.
She put her hand on her hips as she says, "we're always getting help and protected by the Furin kids. We really can't thank you kids enough." She went inside the kitchen again, "order anything you want, kids!"
"Yatta!" Kiryu cheered, "for real, ma'am!? Then i'll have a monja with cheese!" Tsuge speaks his order, as Nirei spoke his concern, "but we haven't done anything! Are you sure?"
"Why of course!" She says through the window of the kitchen with a grin on her face, "you furin kids are like my own sons!" This compliment made Sakura blushed, before she continued, "ah, and i can't forget (name) reminding me as my own daughter!"
You smiled, "thanks, ma'am! Oh, and can i have a canned sparkling soda? I'm feeling like burning my throat real hard!" You cheered with your arms in the air, as the lady laughed and listed your order.
"(Name)-senpai." You turned to the one-eyed male who called your name, humming in acknowledgement. "This may be a weird question for you, but..." he paused for a moment.
"Did something happened between you and KEEL?"
You froze in place as you stared at Suo as he tells his reason further, "recently a group of 3 guys were searching for furin students. But they weren't specifically seeking for us." He continued.
"I wanted to ask Anzai about it too but since you both were together, i guess both you and Anzai had something happend with that gang." He finished, as he stared down at you with a serius face, despite having one of his eye glaring at you down.
The atmosphere started to turned upside down as you were quiet at Suo's assumption. Damn, he's really good at observing. You smacked your fist to your palm, "ah, so that's the name of the gang!" You said outloud, causing the boys to stare at you confused. And suddenly the air doesn't feel heavy anymore.
