It was only a matter of time before they would reveal their true emotions, shedding the disguise of mere friendship. Octavia could sense it.
But ask them, and they'd swear up and down that their relationship was purely platonic. They'd dismiss any suggestions of something more, sticking to their "best friends" narrative, despite the obvious chemistry between them.
Being that a few days ago was the anniversary of Ozai's passing, Octavia's thoughts turned to her son, and she made her way to his room to check on him.
The date held a profound sorrow for both of them — the anguish of losing a child was matched only by the pain of losing a brother and idol. While she had learned to channel her grief, her son still grappled with his emotions, often manifesting in night terrors.
But as she entered his room, she was met with a poignant sight; her son and Eternity entwined with each other while asleep. The sight warmed her heart, knowing Eternity was a steady presence in her son's life, offering comfort and support.
"Hey, Ms. Tay!" Eternity smiled walking into the kitchen with Omyri trailing behind her. The smell of food was enough to make her mouth water after being at school all day.
"Hey baby, how was school?" Octavia inquired, her lips curling into a knowing smirk as she took in the adorable sight of her son attached to Eternity's belt loop.
