𝐎𝐌𝐘𝐑𝐈'𝐒 𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 #𝟎𝟐𝟒

𝐎𝐌𝐘𝐑𝐈 𝐎𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 group of kids playing a game of passing relays under the scorching sun. He had been coaching for a little over a week, and he couldn't deny how much he loved it. The kids brought immense joy with their jokes and funny moments — he cherished every bit of it.

"Get up, Neno! How the hell did he fall?" Tyler questioned, raising his hands in a mix of surprise and curiosity. He muttered the last part softly, rubbing his low-cut hair with his hat pinched between his thumb and index finger.

As the game concluded, the kids headed to get their water bottles. Practice would be over in about five minutes anyway.

"Neno, ask yo' mom if I can come over this weekend. My sister moving, and if I stay, they gon' try to make me help," Phats said, squirting cool blue Gatorade into his mouth. By the second day of practice, Omyri had quickly noticed that the two were best friends.

"Bet." Neno nodded and then turned to Omyri. "Wassup, jit! You ain't said nothing all practice, damn near." He gave the older boy a dap.

Omyri squinted his eyes in amusement. "Jit? I got 'bout seven years on you." He shook his head with a grin. "Ain't much to say though. How y'all like practice today? You know them games and stuff was 'cause of me. Coach Ty was finna have y'all conditioning the whole time," he explained.

"Condition? For what?" Phats dismissed Omyri's comment. "You, nigga. I saved you," Omyri said, pointing a finger at him.

All last practice, Phats was being a jokester, constantly cracking jokes and goofing around. It got on a lot of their nerves, but Omyri didn't seem bothered. He was too preoccupied with helping the other players, offering tips and guidance, and keeping an eye on their progress. Omyri's focus was so intense that he barely noticed Phats' antics, allowing him to stay in the zone and support the other teammates effectively.
