Chapter 39 - Make the most of it

School.

I had to make it through school.

Just a few more hours, I had to just push through.

2 days ago was my first round of proper chemo in over 2 years, and it was almost worse than the first time.

I told everyone I had a cold so I had to stay home for a day, when in reality, I felt like I was on the brink of losing control of my own body. I was weak, too weak to move, and too weak to think.

But I couldn't let anyone find out.

So I'm back at school, watching the clock tick intensely, waiting for the moment I could finally leave and collapse in my bed, let myself float away without the need of any strength.

But time never moves the way you want it too.

My ears were full of the loud voices in the crowded cafeteria. Conversations on all sides as students passed behind and infront of our table, some stopping to stare at the strange arrangement.

Some seemed unbothered though.

"Babe, can you please buy me a cookie?"

"No sung you've already had like 6."

"Ugh." Jisung rolls his eyes, facing away from his boyfriend, "You're still an asshole." He scoffs, crossing his arms and pouting, his cheeks puffing up.

"I'm just looking out for you love, we can get cookies tomorrow hm?" Minho softly caresses Jisungs shoulder, speaking in a gentle tone. This mother fucked knew jisung better than I did!

"Really?" Jisung turns back around, a desperate look on his face. Cookies were the way to that boys heart, how did bitch bunny already know that?

"Of course sung." Minho smiles before cupping his cheeks and placing a quick peck on his lips, finally making his boyfriend happy again.

The rest of the lunch table wanted to gag at any interaction those two ever had.

Since Minhos confession to our darling friend, jisung, our once trio lunch table of him, Felix and I, had now become a table of six. First came Hyunjin, and then minsung became attached at the hip after their complicated relationship bloomed, and lastly, Felix felt like it was unfair for have all of his boyfriends friends here without the man himself.

So Hyunjin, changbin, and Minho have now become members of our friend group, earning the most confusing stares from every student in the school.

Even though Felix was very obviously in love with changbin, now that it was confirmed they were dating, the delulu school girls were mourning.

It was hard not to let the stares and whispers get to you, but that was the price we had to pay as this new group formed. We all really got along, putting aside our past and filling them with apologies and cleared misunderstandings.

Though there was one complication, the person Hyunjin, Minho, and changbin had left behind from their old group.
