March 8th, 8:04pm

I can't leave the hospital between my doses of chemo anymore.

I'm stuck here. I'm too weak to leave, though no one would say it flat out, I knew that's what they were thinking.

Even Wonpil said he was going to fly back in from college and stay here after taking an emergency break from his studies. And I was the fucking emergency.

Did he think I was going to die?

Did everyone think that? Were they stepping on eggs shells when talking to me?

It was tiring enough being sick. But having to watch everyone around me be poisoned by my pain was worse.

And all the school work Hyunjin brought back to me was piling up.

Speaking of Hyunjin-

Well eventually, I became bored with my own thoughts. The tv wasn't playing anything good and my phone was kind of dry. So instead, I called for my parents.

Who immediately were at my side, asking if I was okay, if I was feeling worse and needed to be checked.

"It's not that serious." I sent them a smile, watching as the two tired parents held their chests to calm their breathing, taking a seat next to my bed per request. "I just wanted to tell you guys something."

"Anything honey." My dad held my hand, returning the smile despite the bags under his eyes and the stubble growing on his chin from the lack of shaving.

I loved my parents. So why would I hide anything from them?

Just like I loved my friends. Just like I loved Hyunjin.

"I'm in love with Hyunjin."

"..."

"WHAT!?" My parents practically jumped out of their chairs, staring down at me wide eyed, holding their chests like their hearts just jumped out too.

Maybe that was a bit too straightforward.

"Heh..." I rubbed the back of my neck, adjusting myself in the bed so I felt more comfortable, "I've wanted to tell you guys for a while."

My parents exchanged shocked glances before looking down at me, almost confused on what to say next. I really did just drop that bomb on them like it was nothing.

Well it was definitely something.

"Y-you and... you and Hyunjin?" My mother stammers out, pointing to me as if she was connecting the dots in her head. I nod in response, a small chuckle escaping my lips.

"That's why he comes to visit so much." My dad adds on, snapping his fingers as if a light bulb had illuminated above his head. These two were so goofy, even when their sick son was in a hospital bed infront of them.

I loved it.

"Well I should probably start with saying that we've hated eachother for our entire lives." I giggled again, thinking about how stupid those words sounded said out loud.

My parents looked even more confused, repeatedly exchanging glances with eachother, "hated? I thought you guys were friends?" My mom questioned, an eyebrow raised when she looks back at me.

"Hated." I restated, "full on enemys, mom. We would only act nice to eachother because you guys and auntie and uncle were friends." I explained, watching my parents slowly take their seats again. The lore was officially being dropped.
