When Haseena met Karishma for the first time, it was as if she had noticed a book in a quiet corner of a library one that stood out from the rest. There was something about the book that immediately drew her in. The pull was irresistible, and she felt a deep curiosity to explore the story within its pages.

She was warned, though, by that little voices of surroundings, not to read this book. "This one," it said, "will have a sad ending. It’s bound to leave you in tears." But despite the warnings, and spoiler Haseena couldn’t resist. There was a pull she couldn’t explain, an urge to take that book off the shelf and enter into its world. She picked it up, knowing the risk, knowing that it might break her heart but also knowing that some stories are worth the tears.

Haseena picked up the book titled "Karishma." From the moment she began reading, she knew this is not going to be an easy journey.

For seven days, Haseena dedicated herself to this book. Each day, she turned the pages, knowing that with every chapter, she was moving closer to the end. There was a bittersweet awareness in the back of her mind always that the story was unfolding at a pace she couldn’t slow down, no matter how much she wanted to stayed in the moments that made her heart soar or brought tears to her eyes. Yet, she couldn’t stop reading.

And a stage come where she started to sacrifice her days nights to karishma without caring about herself, her situations against all the odds, just as when the book got interesting, the moment when you can't back off or you can’t put down the book. Still Haseena cherished every interaction, every smile, every word they shared, even though in between all the time a part of her always remembered the warnings about how it might all end.

Reaching the last chapter of book and closing the book cover was the hardest thing she had ever done. She had known the ending would be sad, but living through it was another matter entirely. The sadness of that ending was overwhelming, but the beautiful, painful, unforgettable journey was something she would cherish forever.

At the end Karishma became Haseena's favorite book, one that she knew she would re-read again and again in her thoughts, in her memories even after its end, the narrative that will stay with her even after the ending.

After meeting Karishma as Haseena reached hospital, with worrines and pain in her heart. As soon as she stepped into the room, she saw Dai Jaan sitting there, waiting for her. Within a moment, she asked, “Dad nae aaye abi tak?”

Dai Jaan shook her head. “Nae, abi ni.”

Haseena let out a breath of relief, whispering, “Thank God,” as she collapsed onto the bed. Her entire body felt like it had been wrung out, her strength barely holding her together. Dai Jaan’s concerned gaze followed her every move, and she placed a comforting hand on Haseena’s shoulder.

“Dai jaan chor kar aa gay han hum unhen,” Haseena’s voice broke as she said words.

The next moment, she couldn’t hold back any longer and fell into Dai Jaan’s arms, crying her heart out. The tears flowed freely, each one carrying away a piece of her overwhelming burden. Dai Jaan held her tightly, offering Haseena the comfort she so desperately needed.

“Tum change kar lo, Haseena. Dubara beemar parh jao gi.” After a while, Dai Jaan gently pulled back and said.

Haseena nodded, and slowly stood up. She felt drained, but she gather herself and headed towards the washroom.

Next morning....

It was 9am when Haseena and Dai Jaan returned home. As they entered, Haseena’s father was already deep in conversation with someone, his voice was still carrying the authority she’d grown to dread.
