Karishma stepped inside Haseena’s room, her eyes immediately fall on Haseena sitting on the bed, with her head cradled in her hands. A wave of panic washed over her as she rushed towards her, kneeling beside her. “Kia hua? Ap theek han?”

Haseena looked up at her, her face tight with discomfort. “I'm sorry... Jo bahir kaha, it’s just my headache,” she muttered before holding her head again.

Karishma gently placed her hand on Haseena’s arm,  “Ap late jayay please.” she urged softly, helping her lay back on the bed.

Once Haseena was settled, Karishma tenderly placed her hand on her forehead, lightly brushing her hair back. “Kia hua? Headache kasy ho gaya?” she asked, as if the very concept of Haseena being in any kind of pain was unbearable.

Haseena grasped Karishma’s hand, offering her a weak smile. “Karishma, bas headache hi tou ha, aap itna kiyun parishan ho rahi han?”

Karishma’s lips pressed together as she frowned. “Han, headache b kiyun ha... wo b nae hona chahiye,”

Haseena chuckled softly despite the pain. “Asy nae kehty....."

“Acha theek ha,” Karishma said, exhaling slowly. “Ap chup ho jayay aur eyes close kijiyay.”

Haseena, sensing Karishma’s stubbornness, sighed. “Theek ha, lekin ap jayay jaa kr change kijiyay aur khana kha kar ayay.”

“Abi nae bad ma,” Karishma replied, not wanting to leave her side.

“Karishma…”Haseena narrowed her eyes slightly.

“Ok, hum aaty han bas,” Karishma finally relented, squeezing Haseena’s hand before standing up.

As Karishma left the room, Haseena’s thoughts swirled. "Ap humein aur zyada dara rahi han, Karishma... Abi yeh haal ha sirf headache se, agay kaisy bardasht karen gi?" She sighed, feeling the worry for Karishma’s reaction after knowing the truth.

Around 8pm....

Karishma quietly entered the room, her eyes immediately falling on Haseena still lying on the bed. She approached carefully, her footsteps soft, before gently laying down beside her, facing her.

Without hesitation, Karishma nestled closer and wrapped her arm around Haseena, hugging her tightly. Haseena, still with her eyes closed, instinctively reciprocated, pulling Karishma even closer into the warmth of the embrace.

"Ap jaag rahi han?" Karishma whispered softly, her breath warm against Haseena's neck.

"Hmm," Haseena mumbled in response, her voice low and drowsy but calm.

"Ab kasa lag rha ha?" Karishma asked, as she tightened her grip around Haseena, holding her more protectively.

"Ab boht acha," Haseena replied, a faint smile tugging at her lips as she felt Karishma's presence soothe her in ways no medicine could.

Karishma chuckled softly, resting her head against Haseena's chest, feeling the slow, steady rhythm of her heartbeat.

"Pata ha aaj humri Uncle John say baat hui, us din Jo baat hui ti tab tou humen samaj ma hi nae ayaa kia kahen un ko," she started, her fingers absentmindedly tracing circles on Haseena’s arm.

"Hmm?" Haseena murmured in response, curious but still drowsy.

Karishma shifted slightly, "Haseena, ap ko pta ha un kay is decision kay bad un ki wife ki family nay unhen hi blame kia, they said she could survive but uncle nay nae jeeny dia...." She said softly.
