Eddbusters 2 (teaser)

This is a sneak peek of an upcoming story that I've been working on for the past couple of months. In case if you couldn't tell by the 2 in the title, yes it's a sequel to a story that I did years ago

Anyway, here's something from one of the chapters. Just note that everything that you see here isn't final and is subject to change

The hoist kept going down the hole as Matt eventually made it to a sewer tunnel system which had the same colored slime that was shown in Tom's beaker flowing down it.

"Wow, it's like a river. This is whole lot of slime. Now I just need to get into a position like this just so I can get a sample" said Matt.

Matt twisted and turned as he reached with the beaker to get a good chuck of slime.

"Gotcha! Okay guys, you can pull me up now. I'm done" said Matt.

Meanwhile on the surface level, a guy who appeared to be an actual construction worker came up to Edd and Tom.

"Hey there, fellow worker. What are you doing here? We're busy fixing the road" said Edd.

"What road? This is a very busy intersection" said the worker.

"Yeah, I know, but we were tasked to fix this road by the boss" said Edd.

"Oh really?" asked the guy.

"Yeah, now go away" said Edd.

"Heh, well aren't you a wisecrack. Listen here pal, I don't know what you think this is, but we already have a section of the road in construction" said the worker.

"Excuse me?" asked Edd.

Back in the sewer, Matt kept getting Edd and Tom's attention. Without him even noticing, tentacle like arms started coming out of the river as they came up to Matt who noticed them.

"Oh my god! Guys help! Get me out of here! What are you doing up there?" asked Matt.

Back on the surface, both Edd and the construction worker kept going back and forth.

"For the last time, can't you see that we're doing the city a favor?" asked Edd. "I do and I just want to tell you that this part of the road was supposed to be drilled" said the worker.

Eventually, Tom heard the pleas of Matt along with sounds of rattling before he quickly goes over to the hoist just to pull Matt out. However, Tom sets the speed to fast a Matt struggled a bit to keep himself steady.

"Guys, why is this thing moving so fast? Make it stop!" said Matt.

Matt tried to slow the hoist down by kicking, but he actually kicked a metal pipe that seemed to be connected to something electric as it suddenly let off sparks which got the attention of the worker.

"What's happening?" asked the worker.

Both Tom and Edd pull Matt to safety just for all them to see the lights around them start to flicker before eventually shutting off all the electricity in the city causing London to have a blackout.
