A Taegyu chapter <3
____________
The blonde boy, after rustling through his pockets, found his key and entered his room.
I really need to get a keychain or something, he briefly thought.
He was biting on a paper bag filled with some pastries he'd just bought. Both hands and wrists were full of grocery bags, a result of a quick run to the store.
When he entered the room, he was greeted with the sight of another boy.
Jet black, wolf-cut hair with light streaks across the locks. The boy was panting slightly as he turned his head towards Taehyun.
"Hi, uh— I guess you're my roommate?" the wolf-cut boy asked, dusting his hands on the sides of his washed-off black jeans.
Taehyun set his stuff down near his desk, freeing his mouth from the paper bag. He chuckled as he offered his hand to the other boy.
"Kang Taehyun," he introduced himself with a smile.
There was something about Beomgyu that Taehyun couldn't quite put his finger on. It was as if Beomgyu had this magnetic force that pulled him in, making it hard to look away.
The same seemed to go for Beomgyu.
The moment he looked at Taehyun, his lidded eyes couldn't look away either. He reached out and shook Taehyun's hand firmly.
"Choi Beomgyu," he responded, a slight smirk playing on his lips as he held Taehyun's gaze a second longer than necessary.
Taehyun felt a strange jolt of electricity shoot up his arm from the handshake.
It wasn't unpleasant, but it certainly wasn't what he had expected.

Over the next few days, the two boys quickly discovered that they had more in common than they initially thought.
Whether it was late-night conversations that began with simple introductions and ended with deep talks about their love for music, about life in general.
Not to mention the the spontaneous adventures around campus, they seemed to gravitate toward each other naturally.
One evening, they both found themselves sitting on the floor between their beds, sharing stories about their high school experiences.
"I was always the quiet one," Taehyun admitted, picking at the label on a water bottle. "Never really did anything too wild. I was more into sports and stuff."
Beomgyu, who was leaning back against his bed, smirked at that. "I was the complete opposite. Always get mixed up in some shit. Couldn't help it. I've always liked pushing boundaries."
Taehyun chuckled softly. "I can see that."
Beomgyu tilted his head, eyeing Taehyun curiously. "So, what made you decide to come here? To leave the comfort of being 'the quiet one' behind?"
Taehyun paused, his eyes drifting toward the ceiling as he considered the question. "I guess... I just wanted a fresh start. Somewhere new, where I could figure out who I am without all the labels people put on me back home."
Beomgyu nodded, understanding all too well. "Yeah, me too I guess. Except, I wanted a place where I could be as loud and as wild as I wanted without being judged." He beamed with the a large smile that made the blonde boy look at him in awe.
Cute.

As the days went by, that magnetic pull—force—whatever between them only grew stronger.
