"Let's gooooo!"
Hueningkai's voice boomed over the blaring music as he practically dragged the rest of the group into the club. His excitement was contagious, and for the first time in what felt like forever, all five of them were actually hanging out again.
No Yuna. No drama. Just the boys.
Even Beomgyu, who always had some sort of sarcastic comment locked and loaded, was grinning like a fool. "I can't believe it! A Yeonjun sighting without Yuna attached like a parasite. Thought we lost you, man," he teased, nudging Yeonjun in the ribs.
Yeonjun just rolled his eyes, chuckling. "Shut up. I'm allowed to have friends, you know."
"Could've fooled me," Beomgyu quipped back, sipping on his drink. "But hey, no hard feelings. If Yuna's busy doing...whatever it is she does... I'm not complaining. Means we get you all to ourselves."
Taehyun smirked, leaning back against the bar as he watched Beomgyu and Yeonjun bicker like they always did.
"It's been a while since we've gone out as a group," he said, glancing over at Soobin, who was standing off to the side, clearly trying to keep a low profile.
Soobin was keeping a bit too much distance from Yeonjun, eyes flitting around the club like he was looking for an escape route.
Meanwhile, Hueningkai was buzzing with energy, dancing like nobody was watching. He grabbed Soobin's arm, pulling him closer to the dance floor. "Come on, hyung! Don't be such a buzzkill. You need to loosen up!"
Soobin smiled softly, letting himself get pulled along. If anything, Hueningkai's innocent joy was a welcome distraction from the suffocating tension that had been hanging over him and Yeonjun for the past few weeks.
He felt Yeonjun's gaze on him a few times, but he avoided making eye contact, focusing on Hueningkai instead. He couldn't let himself get dragged back into whatever this mess was.
Beomgyu, still talking trash with Yeonjun, threw his arm over Taehyun's shoulders. "I'm just sayin'—it's nice to see you out in the wild again. I was starting to think Yuna put you on lockdown or something."
"God, you don't quit, do you?" Yeonjun shot back, laughing. "She's just busy, that's all."
Taehyun raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. Beomgyu, on the other hand, was about to fire off another sarcastic jab when something across the room caught Taehyun's eye.
"Wait." Taehyun's expression shifted, his casual demeanor stiffening. "Yeonjun."
Yeonjun, mid-laugh, turned to look at Taehyun, confused by the sudden seriousness in his voice. "What's up?"
"Look," Taehyun said, his voice low, as he subtly pointed toward the crowd.
Yeonjun squinted, trying to follow Taehyun's line of sight. At first, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Just the usual chaos of a packed club—people dancing, the strobe lights flashing in time with the music.
But then, in the middle of the crowd, something—or rather, someone—caught his attention.
Yuna. And she wasn't alone.
Yeonjun's breath caught in his throat as he focused on the scene unfolding in front of him.
There she was, Yuna, his girlfriend, laughing and pressed way too close to some guy he didn't recognize. They were practically wrapped around each other, her hands on his chest, his fingers tangled in her hair, their bodies moving in sync like no one else was watching.
"What the fuck."
