Soobin felt like an absolute idiot. The way he had acted, the things he said—it was all so childish. Embarrassment clung to him like a bad smell, making him cringe every time he replayed the scene in his head.

But his upbringing had drilled one thing into him: when you mess up, you own up to it.

So, after his last class, Soobin decided to find Yuna and apologize. Maybe he overreacted, maybe he was too harsh.

Either way, he needed to clear the air.

He got her schedule from Yeji, who didn't pry too much, thankfully.

As he walked towards the building where Yuna's class was supposed to be, he ran through the words in his head. "Sorry if I offended you," or maybe, "I didn't mean to be rude." Something simple, something to smooth things over.

But as he got closer, he heard voices. One of them was definitely Yuna's—he recognized that sugary tone anywhere. The other voice, though, was definitely not Yeonjun's.

Curiosity took him over, so he quietly rounded the corner to the back hall, staying out of sight. What he saw nearly made him lose it.

Yuna was pressed up against the wall, lips locked with some guy. And it wasn't just a quick peck—no, they were going at it like nobody's business. But what really set Soobin off was what she was saying in between the kisses.

"I'm just using him, you know? Yeonjun's popular, and it's good for me to be seen with him," she whispered to the guy, who just smirked and pulled her closer.

Soobin couldn't believe his ears. This fucking bitch, he thought, feeling his anger bubble up. He didn't hesitate—he stormed over to them, his footsteps loud enough to make them break apart in a panic.

"What the hell, Yuna?" Soobin's voice was laced with disbelief and disgust. Yuna's eyes went wide, like a deer caught in headlights.

The guy, looking just as freaked out, muttered something under his breath and bolted, leaving Yuna to face Soobin alone. She scrambled to pull herself together, but the guilt was written all over her face.

"Soobin, this isn't what it looks like—" she started, but Soobin cut her off, his voice trembling with barely restrained anger.

"I fucking knew it. I knew you were trouble from the start," he spat. "What, Yeonjun's just a plaything to you? Just someone to boost your rep on campus?"

Yuna stammered, trying to come up with some excuse, but Soobin wasn't having it. He took a step closer, his eyes blazing. "You don't deserve him, you know that? He's way too good for someone like you."

Yuna was visibly shaken, but then her eyes flicked to something behind Soobin. He barely had time to register the shift in her expression before she started to cry—loud, pathetic sobs that filled the hallway.

"Please, stop! Don't hurt me, Soobin, please!" she wailed, backing up against the wall like she was terrified.

For a split second, Soobin was confused. What the fuck is she talking about? But then he saw him—Yeonjun, standing a few feet away, his face twisted in shock and confusion.

"What the hell is going on here?" Yeonjun demanded, looking between Soobin and Yuna, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Soobin's heart sank. "Yeonjun, it's not— she was—"

But Yuna cut him off, her sobs growing louder as she played up the victim act. "He cornered me, Yeonjun! I was just talking to a friend, and Soobin lost it—"

"That's fucking bullshit!" Soobin snapped, but Yeonjun's expression had already shifted.

Hurt, anger, and betrayal all mixed together as he stared at Soobin.

"Soobin... why?" Yeonjun's voice was low, confused, like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"I didn't do anything! She's the one who—" Soobin tried to explain, but Yuna let out another pitiful cry, making Yeonjun wince.

"Just stop," Yeonjun muttered, rubbing his temples like he was trying to keep it together. "This is fucked up."

Soobin could see the doubt in Yeonjun's eyes, and it made him feel like he was being kicked in the gut. Yuna, still sniffling, looked up at Yeonjun with those big, fake tears, and it made Soobin want to scream.

Yuna seized the moment, brushing past Soobin to cling onto Yeonjun's arm. "Let's just go, okay? I don't wanna be here anymore," she said, her voice still shaky.

Yeonjun hesitated, his eyes meeting Soobin's for a brief moment, but then he nodded.

"Yeah, let's go."

As they walked away, Soobin felt like he was about to implode. He couldn't believe what just happened—how Yuna had twisted everything around, how Yeonjun had actually believed her.

He was left standing in the hallway, his mind racing, anger and frustration boiling over. He wanted to punch something, to scream, to just make it all stop.

But instead, he just stood there, feeling completely, utterly helpless.

What the hell...
