Soobin found himself seated at a salon, the vibrant energy of the place a stark contrast to the nerves buzzing inside him. He flipped through a catalogue, trying to find a reference for how he wanted his hair done.
"Maybe try blue? I think it'd look good on you."
Yeonjun's voice echoed like a sweet melody in his head. If he says so, Soobin thought, glancing over the options.
"Mr. Choi?"
Soobin's head shot up as he heard his name being called.
"Hi! I'm your stylist, Hyunjin," a long-haired boy with a bright smile greeted him. "Ready for your makeover, Mr. Choi?"
Soobin returned the smile, though it was more sheepish. He put down the catalogue and stood up. "Please, just call me Soobin," he said, bowing his head slightly.
Hyunjin chuckled at the formality and guided Soobin to the hair-washing area. "Well, Soobin-ssi, I'm going to turn you into... well— you, but better!" he cheered, grabbing a towel and gesturing for Soobin to sit.

Soobin gazed at his reflection in the mirror, taking in the new shade of blue that now colored his hair. Hyunjin held a handheld mirror to show the back of his head.
"It does look good on me," Soobin muttered to himself, smiling faintly.
"Sorry, what was that, Soobin-ssi?" Hyunjin asked, raising an eyebrow as he caught Soobin's gaze through the mirror.
"Ah—no," Soobin stammered, feeling a blush creeping up his neck. "Someone suggested I pick blue. They said it would suit me."
Hyunjin grinned, playfully tousling Soobin's hair. "Well, whoever they are, they're right. You look like an idol now—seriously, you might get scouted on your way home!"
Soobin chuckled, though the compliment made him feel warm inside.
After thanking Hyunjin and paying, he left the salon, his heart fluttering slightly at the thought of Yeonjun seeing his new look.

Soobin opened the door to their dorm room and stepped inside, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
Yeonjun was lounging on his bed, scrolling through his phone, when he looked up—and froze.
His eyes widened, taking in Soobin's new look. "Woah... you actually did it," Yeonjun said, sitting up. "It looks amazing!"
Soobin felt his face heat up under Yeonjun's gaze. "You think so?" he asked, trying to keep his tone casual but failing miserably.
"Are you kidding? You look incredible!" Yeonjun exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "I mean, I knew blue would suit you, but this... wow."
Soobin's heart skipped a beat at the praise, and he couldn't help but smile. "Thanks, Jun. I guess I just... trusted your taste."
Yeonjun's expression softened, clearly touched. "Well, I'm glad you did. Seriously, you look so cool."
The two of them stood there for a moment, Soobin just rubbed the back of his neck, still not used to getting complimented like this, but he liked it, a lot. (a.n. I smell a praise ki—)
"Well, you've got to show this off," Yeonjun said, breaking the silence. "Let's go out tonight and give everyone a reason to be jealous."
Soobin laughed, easing more to Yeonjun's suggestion. "Alright, if you say so."
As they prepared to head out, Soobin couldn't help but feel a newfound confidence.
Maybe it was the hair, or maybe it was the way Yeonjun looked at him—either way, he was a sucker for the affirmation.
