Soobin couldn't take it anymore.

He wanted Yeonjun. Like, really wanted him. It was almost unbearable at this point. They'd kissed. More than once. And yeah, maybe it was when Yeonjun was still with someone, but still—those kisses meant something, right?

But they never talked about it. Not once. Which only made Soobin spiral even more. He kept replaying the moments in his head like a damn broken record. He hated that his heart raced every time Yeonjun even looked his way.

God, why is this so hard? Soobin thought as he glanced over at Yeonjun, who was sitting on his bed, casually strumming his guitar.

Soobin chewed on his lip, watching the way Yeonjun's fingers danced effortlessly across the strings. His hair was slightly messy from earlier, that fiery new color making him look almost...fox-like. Cute as hell. Soobin was so caught up in his thoughts, he didn't even realize he was staring. But when he did, something reckless stirred inside him.

"Bin?" Yeonjun's voice snapped him out of it.

"Uh, yeah?" Soobin blinked, trying to act normal.

"You good? You've been zoned out for like... five minutes."

Soobin could feel the heat creep up his neck, but he quickly cleared his throat. "Teach me."

Yeonjun frowned, setting his guitar down for a second. "Teach you what?"

"How to play." Soobin gestured at the guitar, heart pounding just thinking about being that close to Yeonjun. "I want to learn."

Yeonjun gave him a curious look but shrugged. "Sure, it's not that hard."

Not that hard? For Soobin, trying to keep his hands steady while Yeonjun guided him was going to be impossible. But he got up anyway and sat down next to Yeonjun, the bed creaking under their weight. His heart immediately started racing.

Yeonjun shifted the guitar into Soobin's lap, their knees brushing in the process. Soobin felt his breath catch in his throat.

"Alright, so..." Yeonjun leaned in closer, his breath warm against Soobin's ear. "Hold it like this. No, no, not that tight."

Soobin adjusted his grip, but it was hard to focus with Yeonjun's hand covering his, their fingers practically intertwined. The small space between them was charged, every movement making Soobin's pulse jump.

Yeonjun's other hand moved to guide Soobin's fingers along the fretboard. "Now, press here—yeah, right there. Then strum with this hand."

Soobin could barely hear the instructions. His mind was spinning from Yeonjun's closeness, the light touches, and the way Yeonjun was so calm and nonchalant, completely oblivious to the war raging inside of him.

Yeonjun's voice dropped slightly. "See? Easy."

Soobin managed a weak nod, but the guitar might as well have been a foreign object in his hands. All he could focus on was how close they were, how easy it would be to just...lean in.

Just one small move and their lips would touch. Again.

Soobin swallowed hard, his eyes flicking up to Yeonjun's face. Yeonjun glanced up at the same moment, their gazes locking. There was something there, lingering between them—something unspoken.

Time seemed to slow down.

Neither of them moved for what felt like ages, and Soobin's mind went blank. His gaze dropped to Yeonjun's lips, and before he knew it, they were leaning in. Just a little, but enough to make Soobin's pulse hammer against his chest.

Their breaths mixed, lips barely grazing, and—

The guitar slipped from Soobin's hands, clattering onto the floor, breaking the tension in the most awkward way possible.

They both froze.

"...shit," Soobin muttered under his breath, more embarrassed than anything.

Yeonjun blinked, looking startled for a moment, but then he let out a small laugh. "Well, guess that's one way to end the lesson." He grinned, but there was still that tension hanging between them.

Soobin's heart was still racing.

So damn close...
