If you would have told 16 year old me that I would be at the Monaco grand prix I would have laughed in your face.
But here I am, with my boyfriend of 6 months, Tom Holland, standing in the Ferrari garage watching quali about to start.
Shortly after I moved to LA to chase after my influencer status I was introduced to F1 by some friends and I haven't missed a Grand Prix since. Now 6 years later I am actually here, in Monaco... Insanity.
The last 6 years have been nothing short of chaotic. I booked my first acting role at 18 for a Netflix show, soon followed by staring in Marvel films. Though I had been working towards it for years, the second my career took off it felt like I couldn't breath. I can't remember the last vacation I took that wasn't work related. 2 tours, 2 albums, 2 shows, and 6 movies and no plan to lift my foot off the petal.

Quali had just finished, Verstappen taking pole once again. Tom and I were walking around looking at different garages when we spotted a group of drivers chatting. Tom, also being a huge fan of F1 looked at me with pure excitement and pulled me over to them.
"Hey guys, just wanted to say good luck tomorrow!" He said inserting himself into their conversation. They all quickly turned to see who was talking and their eyes lit up looking at us both. I scanned the group, there was Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Saiz, Daniel Riccardo, and Lando Norris. I felt myself get a little starstruck at seeing them all right in front of me. Actors and singers aren't my celebrities, they are.
"Amazing job today as well" I said giving them all a friendly smile. Tom shook all their hands and they all said thank you.
"Thank you both for coming. Is this you're first time?" Carlos asked. I nodded
"Yeah, I've been trying to for the last few years but a weekend off is rare." I said. I saw in the corner of my eye Daniel give Lando a little shoulder nudge, but didn't bring attention to it.
"We get that. Well hopefully its not the last" Daniel said, glancing at Lando again. This time I made eye contact with Lando and he immediately drew his eyes away. I have a feeling i'm not the only starstruck one here.
"Certainly not, we've been here for one day and she's already trying to rework her schedule to come to the next one." Tom said wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him. I shrugged my shoulders, feeling slightly exposed.
"Mia you have an album coming out soon right? Lando here won't stop talking about it." Daniel said with the biggest grin. I smiled and Lando who's cheeks were bright red.
"Possibly..." I smirked. "It's still a work in progress but I've been teasing."
"Any shows coming up? My girlfriend has been dying to go" Charles added in.
"I'm not sure yet, but once I do i'll be sure to give you all tickets." I said.
We wrapped up the small talk and bid our goodbyes. I made sure to go to bed early so that the grand prix would come faster.
