Today was Tuesday, aka the day Lando has to fly back to prepare for his race in Australia. It wasn't a sad departure, though—Friday I'll be heading to Australia for the Grand Prix!
His flight wasn't until later, so we were making the most of our morning together. I had a night shoot tonight, which worked out perfectly.
We settled in a nearby park, enjoying breakfast and sipping our coffees. The fact that Lando is comfortable being seen in public with me means everything. It may sound small, but it feels monumental. People always act like being spotted is the worst thing ever, but we've embraced it. This weekend alone, we hit a few bars, and the photos flooded Instagram. The reactions have been mixed—some fans are obsessed, while others seem to wish me dead. It's nothing I'm not used to, but it can be a lot sometimes.
What's been nagging at me, though, are the videos and edits I keep getting tagged in of Lando and his ex, Luisa. I'm not usually a jealous person, but those clips have been getting under my skin more than I'd like to admit. I don't know why they bother me so much. Maybe it's the reminders of a past that I can't compete with, or maybe it's just the feeling of being compared. Whatever it is, it's a distraction I'm struggling to shake off.
Lando caught me lost in thought and squeezed my hand, pulling me back into the moment. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked, his voice warm and genuine.
"Yeah, just thinking," I replied, forcing a smile.
"What about?" He asked, taking a sip of his coffee while staring into my soul.
"Us, kind of" I said
"Good things I hope" He said nervously.
"Only good things." I half-lied. I dont need to bring my insecurities into this, its not his doing.
"I'm excited for you to come this weekend" He said smiling big.
"Me too, I haven't been to Australia in so long." I said, thinking of my past shows there and how magical they were.
"It's gonna be amazing," he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me closer. I leaned in, resting my head against his shoulder. In moments like this, all my insecurities faded away. With each gentle touch, I felt myself falling deeper for him.

Later in the day, we were lying on my bed while I edited a TikTok we made over the weekend. It featured me lip-syncing to the catchy intro of "Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl" by Chappell Roan. Lando was in it too, though his face wasn't visible. After hitting post, I turned my phone off and shifted my attention back to him.
I glanced over, and he watched the video, an amused smile playing on his lips.
"You look so hot," he said, grinning at the screen.
"Thank you," I replied, happily accepting the compliment. That was the goal, after all.
"How much time do we have?" I asked, turning my body so I was sprawled over him, feeling the warmth radiating from his skin.
"Four hours," he said, glancing at the time.
"Okay, perfect! Put your bathing suit on," I said, jumping up and grabbing my own from the dresser.
"For what?" he asked, confusion flickering across his face as he followed my lead.
"We aren't just going to rot here," I said, pulling my top off to change. Lando stopped in his tracks, his eyes glued to me.
"I mean, we could," he replied, his gaze lingering, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes playfully as I slipped on my bikini top.
"C'mon now," I said, reaching for his swim shorts and tossing them at him.
"Alright, alright," he laughed, finally getting into the spirit.
Once we were both ready, I took his hand and pulled him out of the room. "You're in for a surprise," I said, my excitement bubbling over.
"What kind of surprise?" he asked, intrigued.
"You'll see," I replied with a mischievous smile as I led him outside to a path that leads to our dock.
I pointed to a jet ski bobbing in the water, waiting for us. "We're going jet skiing!" I kind of forgot earlier that we had this, but something clicked in my head and reminded me.
His eyes widened with excitement. "Where have you been hiding this?"
"I forgot it was here. Get on!" I urged, racing toward the jet ski, laughter spilling from my lips as I glanced back at him.
Lando got on and I sat behind him, wrapping my arms tightly around his waist. I normally like to be the one in front, but I'll let it slide seeing how excited he was.
As we sped across the waves, the wind whipped through our hair, and I could hear Lando's laughter mixing with the sounds of the ocean. Each bump made me squeeze him a little tighter, half-excited and half-nervous about the way he was driving. He started doing donuts, glancing back at me with a huge smile that made my heart race.
Since this area was the sound, dotted with mini islands, Lando weaved us around a few, taking in the breathtaking scenery. The sun shimmered on the water, and I couldn't help but feel alive in that moment, surrounded by laughter and the thrill of the ride.
After what felt like an exhilarating eternity, we finally slowed down and headed back toward the shore. As we pulled up, I reluctantly let go of him, my heart still pounding from both the speed and the closeness we shared.
Once we were back on solid ground, I glanced at the clock on my phone and felt a twinge of reluctance. "We should probably start getting ready to drop you off at the airport soon," I said, trying to keep my tone light.
Lando's smile didn't waver. "Yeah, I guess we do," he replied, playfully ruffling my hair as he walked past. He slyly grabbed my hand pulling me with him.
Once inside we rinsed off the salty water off in the shower. I started packing Lando's bag for him since he was still getting ready and the driver would be here soon to pick him up. I had to be on set in an hour, so I sadly couldn't drop him off.
"Why did you pack so much?" I asked, glancing up just as he entered the room, a towel hanging dangerously low on his hips, showcasing that charming smile.
"I had to be prepared," he replied, grabbing the clothes he'd left out. I plopped down on the luggage, trying to close it, but it wouldn't budge. Lando just laughed, watching my struggle.
"I give up! This is your problem now," I huffed, dramatically throwing my hands up in defeat.
Once he was dressed, he managed to get his suitcase closed and rolled it outside with a triumphant grin.
"Text me when you board and when you land, okay?" I said, joining him outside.
"Promise. I'll see you in a couple of days, okay?" He pulled me into a warm hug, and I melted against him. I gave him a sweet, lingering kiss, followed by a few quick pecks, not wanting to let him go. Call me clingy; I didn't care.
"Okay, you may go now," I said with one final kiss, savoring the moment.
"Have fun filming tonight!" he called out as he walked toward the car. I waved him off, but a part of me yearned to say something deeper, something that felt more honest. The words "I love you" hovered on my lips, almost spilling out. It felt so natural, so right in that moment. I realized then just how much he meant to me, and the realization hit me like a truck.
As the car pulled away, I immediately felt a wave of sadness wash over me. It was only two days, but I still didn't like it. I stood there for a moment, watching until the car turned the corner, a bittersweet smile lingering on my lips.
