I was in LA, making a quick stop to perform on the BBC before heading back to Charleston. I performed three songs from my new album, along with a cover of "Good Luck Babe" by Chappell Roan, who opened for me on my last tour. While I was here, I wrapped up getting everything out of my house and into storage so my realtor could start the process of selling it. I've been eyeing places in Madrid or possibly Monaco. Sure, both options come with their own set of inconveniences, but I don't mind; they're way more fun than LA and closer to Lando.
As I left the BBC, I texted an old friend to meet me for lunch.
"Hello, love!" I greeted him with a hug.
"How have you been?" Harry asked, squeezing me tighter.
"I'm good—lots going on. What are you doing in LA?" I replied, noting that he rarely spends time here unless it's for work.
"Possibly working on some things. I could use your help," he said, settling into his seat.
"You know I love to help. Working on the next album?" I asked, a teasing smile creeping onto my face. I co-wrote Fine Line and Harry's House with him and his team, so if I wasn't invited to contribute to this next one, I'd probably be a little offended. Harry and I had a great dynamic; his team had reached out to me to help with writing, which blossomed into this unexpected friendship. I'd been so starstruck at first—I mean, I grew up with Harry posters on my wall. When Rudy and I broke up, the internet buzzed about me cheating on him with Harry, a rumor I was surprisingly not too mad about. Of course, Harry wouldn't touch me with a ten-foot pole; he thinks I'm still a child.
"Kinda, yeah. But only if you have time—I see you running around these days with a certain someone," he said, smirking as he took a sip of his drink.
"Oh yeah, that's just my boyfriend who loveessss me," I emphasized, practically bursting with excitement. I had only been able to share this news with Drew; it felt too thrilling to keep a secret.
"Oh, he loves you, does he?" Harry laughed.
"Yep! Told me so in Australia," I said proudly.
"That's very cute. I'm happy for you. I'll have to meet him, make sure he's up to par," he teased.
"He's a good one," I replied, a sheepish smile spreading across my face. "How are you and Taylor?" I asked, shifting the focus back to him.
"We're working through some things right now. I think we may be in different stages of our lives," he explained, and I listened intently. Relationship advice has become a forte of mine at this point. Harry and I spent hours catching up and sadly it came to the time I had to hop on a plane once again and make my way to Charleston to continue filming.

Once I was back in Charleston, I was absolutely drained, but I had to make my way to set to continue filming. This week wasn't a race weekend for Lando, but he had a lot of prep work to do with the team and some sponsor things. My car dropped me off on set, and I was quickly ushered into hair and makeup. Today we were filming a beach scene with everyone there. It sounded fun at first, but I would love to rot in my bed right now. I was the last to join on set and made my way to everyone huddled in a circle. I pushed myself into the huddle, and Drew quickly welcomed me by pulling me into his side.
"Hello there missy. Nice of you to join us" He teased.
"I am so tired." I said, hoping that excuses the lack of excitement I'm bringing to the table right now.
"Want me to grab you a coffee?" Rudy offered, which made me look at him confused.
"I'll go grab one. Thanks though" I said, sending him a smile and walking over to the snack area.
Filming took forever. This scene has many different shots, so we didn't even finish it today and most likely will be working on it for a couple days.
By the time I got home it was 1:00am and all I wanted was to cuddle up next to Lando and fall into a deep sleep.

LANDOS POV
My phone rang as I was getting ready to head out for a training session with Jon. I glanced down at my phone and saw Mia's face light up my screen. I smiled and quickly answered the facetime call, quickly being greeted by my girlfriend who looked exhausted.
"Good morning baby" I said smiling at her.
""Good morning and goodnight," she replied, plopping down onto her bed with a dramatic sigh.
"Are you just getting home? Isn't it 1 in the morning?" I asked. I know they do night shoots, but 1am is crazy.
"Yes. I am upset about it. Where are you going? You look delicious." she said, her eyes sparkling despite her fatigue.
"That's a new one. I have training with Jon in a couple. How about you get ready for bed." I said, watching her struggle to keep her eyes open.
"No I want to hang out with you" She said, her eyes half open.
"At least wash your face and brush your teeth. You will be happy in the morning if you do" I said, not wanting her to wake up uncomfortable.
"No I'll do it in the morning. Just talk" She said, tucking herself under the covers. I barely got a sentence in before she was fast asleep. I kept the facetime going during my drive to training and all throughout just in case she woke up. I made sure to mute myself though, didn't want to wake her, she's an angry lady when you abruptly wake her.
My heart burst every time I saw my phone and saw her peacefully sleeping. I was about to blow everything off right there and then and book the next flight out, but I think I would lose my job if I did.
