"Drew says hi" I said turning and smiling at him. Lando knows all about my relationship with Drew and how he is literally my ride or die. He also knows that it is the most platonic relationship.

"Is Drew sad I stole you for the week?" he asked, giving my thigh a playful squeeze.

"oh no he's stoked to finally get rid of me" i laughed.

We finally made it to the breakfast spot and it looked packed inside.

"Do you want to wait here and i'll go grab it?" He offered

"Please, just get me whatever you're having," I told him. He nodded and headed in. I watched as people spotted the car and immediately pulled out their phones. I kept my head down just in case anyone recognized me. With my sunglasses and baseball cap, I thought my disguise was pretty solid. The longer I waited, the more people gathered around the car. I texted lando a quick warning and then decided to call my PR manager before things got out of hand.

"Hey Mia, how's it going?" she answered cheerfully.

"Hi! So, this is super random, but if you see videos or pictures of me in Monaco popping up online, don't panic, okay?" I said, bracing myself for her reaction. My PR managers and I haven't always seen eye-to-eye because I don't love the whole concept, but I've found one who lets me be myself. I'm always worried about crossing a line.

"Mia, why are you in Monaco?" she asked, sounding more serious.

"Just a last-minute trip for some business," I replied casually.

"You did not have business in Monaco. I would know if you did. Is this why you missed your meetings? Are you okay?" she asked, clearly concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine—actually, I'm great. I'm just in a car that's surrounded by cameras right now," I explained.

"Can they tell it's you? Whose car is it?"

"Probably not. I've got sunglasses and a baseball cap on. It's Lando's car."

"Sunglasses and a baseball cap. Classic. Lando as in Lando Norris?" she asked.

"Yes..." I confirmed.

"Mia, we talked about this. I don't care how many people you see—whether it's 10 or 100, keep it out of the public eye," she said, clearly frustrated. We had a talk about this because, while being single was great for my fan base because that meant more music, the rumors and appearances with various guys since my breakup with Tom haven't been ideal.

"And I know you don't care, but I do, because it's my job to manage this. Remember?" she continued, still scolding me.

"Yes, I remember. I promise this isn't a fling. I'm just giving you a heads-up. I'm here for the whole week, so if anything leaks, know I'm okay with it," I said, trying to reassure her.

"Alright, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for letting me know. Please be smart. Talk to you tomorrow," she said, ending the call.

I hung up with my PR manager and sighed, leaning back in the seat. The crowd around the car had grown, and I could see flashes of cameras through the tinted windows. I kept my head down, doing my best to stay out of the limelight.

After what felt like an eternity, Lando finally returned, juggling a couple of bags and a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. As he approached the car, I saw someone in the crowd spot him and, more importantly, spot me through the window.

"Lando!" a young fan shouted, pointing excitedly. "Is that Mia in the car?"

I stiffened, glancing towards the commotion. Lando hurried to get in, trying to shield me from view. He slid into the driver's seat and handed me my breakfast, looking concerned. As soon as he was settled, he started the engine with a sense of urgency.

"Sorry it's not usually that packed" He said, clearly tense from the sudden ambush.

I noticed how tense he was, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel. I reached over and gently grabbed his hand, giving him a reassuring squeeze. His tense muscles softened at my touch, and he let go of the wheel to hold my hand in his.

"Hey, it's okay," I said, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand. I settled his hand in my lap, offering him a comforting smile.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good," he replied, though his voice still carried a trace of unease. He rubbed his thumb up and down the back of my hand, trying to calm himself.

Lando took a deep breath, his gaze softening as he looked at me. "Alright, off to the next stop," he said cheerfully, his excitement evident in his tone.

"Where to?" I asked, curiosity piqued.

"Well, Max and I need to film something for Quadrant," he replied with a grin. "So you get to experience a day in my life."

"I'm still waiting for that hoodie you promised me, though," I mentioned, glancing at him with a playful smirk.

"Oh, I've got a whole closet full of them," he said, smiling. "You can choose whichever one you like."

"Perfect," I said, settling into my seat and relaxing as we cruised through streets of Monaco.
