Chapter 40

A few weeks later
It was a nice evening to spend the day as a family that
Miguel was outside with Gabriella. He wanted to spend more time teaching Gabriella how to play soccer. So they were all in the backyard. Y/n was sitting there and cheering for Gabriella... after an hour she went inside the house. Miguel was passing the ball at Gabriella when he notice that y/n was gone... he kept playing with Gabriella for a few minutes then they went inside he saw that
Y/n wasn't downstairs and of course she was upstairs in the bedroom.so Miguel went to go check on her.. he head upstairs and was about to open the door when it was locked...
" y/n.." he said as he was knocking on the door...
But no answer...
" y/n is everything okay?" He asked
" yeah everything is fine" she responded
Miguel was getting worry since he didn't knew why she was locked up in the bedroom..
He kept hearing noises..
" okay y/n open the door" he said
" in a second" she said
" OPEN THE DOOR NOW!" He shouted
Y/n kept hearing the doorknob rattling and Miguel pounding on the door...
Which seconds later he busted the door open...
Which of course made y/n jump and quickly
hid something behind her back that Miguel slightly notice...
" what's going on?" He asked
" nothing... nothing" she said
" huh then why was the door lock and what do you have behind your back?" He asked
" nothing I have nothing" she said showing him both of her hands..
" see.." she said
" I'm go check on Gabriella...." she said going downstairs which Miguel follow her down.
" what's going on why are you acting way?" He asked
" like how?" She said
" Like if you're hiding something..." he said which made her chuckle
" oh..." she said..
" well..."
" it's nothing... it's something personal that's all.." y/n said
Which made Miguel tilt his head.
" personal? We're marry were not supposed to have secrets from each other...." he said that he regrets saying that now....
" oh...." she said
" that's what you think huh?"
" then why don't you tell me all the things that you're hiding from me?"
" all the secrets..." She said tilting her head...
" since we're not supposed to have secrets from each other...." she said
Which Miguel stood there quietly..
And let out a sigh...
" okay I understand that you are mad that I said that" he said
" understand?"
" I don't think you understand at all Miguel..." she said
" I don't think you understand knowing that your husband has all these secrets... hiding all the things... Doesnt know what he does as well....... do you know how that feels...." she said
" maybe I don't..." he said
" but who knows maybe your also keeping secrets from me as well..." he said
Which y/n looked at him angrily
" why do you always have to switch it up Miguel..." she said
" at least I'm not a liar like you..." she said
" are we sure about that?" He said tilting his head
Which y/n looked at him right into his eyes...
Till she realized something.....
Maybe she was overreacting about this...... maybe he was right.... she does have a small secret...... she closed her eyes and took a deep breath..... and relaxed for a bit...
" I'm going to get Gabriella ready for bed and I'm going bed..." she said in a small toned....
Maybe she still felt a little mad... she picked Gabriella and looked Miguel...
" and you're sleeping on that couch tonight..." she said walking upstairs..... leaving Miguel downstairs...
" of course.." Miguel said...
He knew that she's already going give him the silent treatment.....
The next day
Miguel was laying down on the couch.. Looking at the ceiling.. he just wonder if y/n remembers what's today.... and wonders if she's still mad at him.. of course she is... which that's what Miguel thought....
Y/n was in the bedroom and was looking at the ceiling.. she felt guilty about last night.. and wanted to apologize to Miguel... which of course she has to do since she wants to make this day special for him... it's his day... but she knows he's probably mad her... which she thought.
She got up and head downstairs. Of course she had to go apologize to him. But once she was downstairs. Miguel wasn't there... or anywhere in the house..
" he probably went to work early.." she whispered...
Which probably gives her enough time to set for today...
Later that day
Miguel was at the bar after work..He was there for a couple of hours.. or so....
He sat at the bar having a drink... he was looking down for a second till someone sat down next to him.. he looked up and saw assistant..
" oh look it's the birthday boy..." she said smiling at him
" happy birthday" she said
" thanks" Miguel said
" what are you doing here all alone...?" She asked
" well got into a small argument with the wife and I don't know if  she's still mad..." he said
" how come?" She asked
" just usual things you know" he said
" you accused her from keeping secrets when your the only one with the secrets in that house..." she said
" yeah something like that" he said
" you know...  none of this wouldn't happen if you were honest to her..." she said
" oh please..." he said slightly chuckling and took a sip of his drink...
" or whatever you want.." she said
" it's your decision either ways..."
" who knows what if someone tells her all the things you done... all the secrets you kept from her.. and decides to leave you..." she said
Which Miguel face went serious...
" I know y/n will never leave me.... no matter..." he said
" right..." she said
" but just you know if I was her and I found out about that... I would never leave you..."
" no matter....."
" it's the job....."
she said smirking And slightly placing her hand on his shoulder
Which Miguel moved her hand away...
" what do you think your doing?" He said
" oh nothing..."
" it was my mistake sir..." she said which she kept looking at him with lust in her eyes.... she slightly brush her leg on his.. which Miguel looked at her seriously
" okay that's enough..." he said
" I know there's small history between us... but I am marry.. and I love her..." he said
" but does she love you?" She said tilting her head...
Which Miguel sat there quietly...
" if she y/n actually loved you she wouldn't be complaining about you lying, accusing you, making you seem like your the bad guy.... let's not forget she kissed one of your old workers..."she said
" is that love?" She said
" why will I believe the words that come out that mouth..." he said
" cause I know everything.... remember...?" She said smirking
Which Miguel scoffed..
" I don't know why I decided to hire you..." he said
" I think I know why... after those times... remember?" She said chuckling
" wasn't that long ago..." she said
" don't remind me..." he said
" oh come on Miguel...." she said
" like old times...." she said placing her hand on him...
Miguel looked at her with a glare... she had smirk knowing she got him mad already...
" oh well if you change your mind.. you know we're to find me..." she said
having a smirk and leaving the bar...
Miguel sat there... her words... those damn words she said got into his head..... "maybe she's right... y/n did kiss someone else who worked for me... and now she's acting a little suspicious...." he whispered....
He was fill with anger, and all these emotions in him....
He let her words get into his head....
Miguel stood up and walked out the bar..
Maybe he did went to her place......

A few hours later.
On the way back home...
Miguel felt anger towards himself....
Why did he do it...
He pulled into the driveway and stayed in the car for a few minutes...
Why did he do it...what was he thinking getting himself into this type of mess again.... he knows he has done worse things... but its more worse compared to what he's hiding to y/n.... maybe not so bad....
" DAMNIT!!" he shouted
He was unlocking the front door and walked in the house seeing it dark... he place his coat on the couch and saw the dining room lights on..
He walked towards there. And his eyes slowly lit up... and the guilt started to show up.....
He saw y/n and Gabriella standing there.. holding balloons the dining room decorated...
" happy birthday Miguel.." y/n said smiling
Miguel felt the guilt in him...
" go Gabriella give him the balloons" y/n said to Gabriella as she walked towards him giving him the balloons which made Miguel smile...
" thank you princess" he said grabbing them...
He looked at y/n.. he realized how much she cared about him.... how much she loved him... and how he messed up big time....
why did he end up doing that...ruining the family he loves......
Y/n notices that something was going on over how quiet he was...
" hey you okay?" She asked
" yeah" he said looking at her
" everything is perfectly fine..." he said smiling y/n walked towards him placing her hand on his waist...
" glad to hear that" she said smiling and gave him a kiss on his cheek..
The whole evening
Y/n was cleaning up everything while Miguel was with Gabriella.
He looked over seeing y/n picking up the plates..
" I be right back sweetheart" he said to Gabriella and walked out the living room.
" need some help?" He asked y/n.
" sure" she said
He grabbed some plates and took them to the kitchen as y/n was washing them.so Miguel stood there... after y/n was done she turn around and looked at him with a smile...
" thank you for this.." he said
" of course anything for the man I love" she said
Which made Miguel softly smile... the guilt he had was taking over his body... it felt completely guilty....
Y/n walked towards him and place her hand on his cheek..
" look I am sorry about last night I was overreacting..." she said
" it's fine don't worry about it.." he said
" you sure?" She said
" I had to reason to react like that towards you..." she said
" trust me it's fine..." he said smiling at her..
"Okay.." she said smiling back at him
" just to make it up for you "
" I have a surprise for you upstairs" she said smiling
" And I can't wait" he said
He looked at y/n and pulled her into a deep kiss.. he harshly grabbed her by the waist and lift her up..
" Miguel, No not here.." y/n said
As he let her go...
" I'm sorry.." he said
" it's okay don't worry I make sure you won't forget this night.." she said smirking at him...
Miguel smiled at her and place his hand on her cheek..
" I love you so much y/n.." he said
" I love you too Miguel.." y/n said he kept looking down and started looking at her and admiring her..
" no i truly love you y/n...... I am deeply in love with you and will forever love you no matter what...." he said
" I will never forgive myself for hurting you......"
" even if I already did...." he said in his thought
Y/n looked at him and
He gently place his hand on her.. and y/n lean towards his ear
Whispering something...
Which made Miguel have a small shock face...
" there's a small chance.."
" not sure... yet..." she whispered
Which made Miguel let out a chuckled and gave her a other kiss.... a very passionate kiss..... he pulled away and wrapped his arms around her pulling her into a hug... he place his chin on her shoulder, placing his hand on her back.
Of course he felt guilty.... he knows he messed up.... but he knows if she never finds out about this then maybe things will be okay.... right......?
Maybe he has to keep a other secret from her...
