Back in the Haunted Mansion on Earth, the tapestry on the wall became greyed.

"That tapestry just got coated in grey veiling magic, Ogron."

"I already know. The opponents we faced won't let their defeat go so easily," Ogron replied, unruffled by the loss of connection to Alfea.

"You're not concerned that we lost contact with the one team of fairies who overheard your plan?" Anagan challenged.

"Of course not, Anagan," Ogron agreed. "Worrying and complaining won't get us anywhere. Besides, I have an extra informant working for us. Pitch said she's helping to track down the last Earth Fairy. She's supposed to contact me soon."

"Who is she exactly?" asked Gantlos curious but skeptical.

"A young sophomore fairy with the magical ability to see the future. She attends Alfea and just happens to be Faragonda's niece. Pitch did her a favor by ridding her of some bullies and now she's been roped into one of his contracts. Her name is Gafara."

"A fairy? How do we know she wouldn't betray us?" Gantlos questioned still wary.

"Would you chill? After all, you are half an ice wizard, Gantlos." Dumant snarled rhetorically.

"You can trust this little fairy. She has no choice but to listen to me, and I'm telling her to listen to Ogron." Pitch appeared out of the shadows; his presence commanding.

"Good grief, I hate when you creep up on us like that, Master," Gantlos stated meeting the tall guardian's gaze with an offended expression.

"Ah, nice to know I can still give someone quite the shock of a lifetime, even if they aren't Earth's children," Pitch laughed.

"Don't insult him. Gantlos, he's our Master. We wouldn't have the same impact on humans if Pitch hadn't paved the way before we arrived," Ogron scolded his comrade. "We wouldn't have had a decent life where authorities stop asking us boring, unnecessary questions."

"Right, I apologize, Ogron, and to my Master. I'm sorry for overstepping," Gantlos replied quickly keen to make amends.

"You have a remarkably good hold on your team here, Ogron. It's a shame the actual childhood guardians of Earth—the major four—don't see the benefits of each other's talents and how they can work as a team. Their blindspots offer me the cracks I need to let my fear magic seep into one of their precious children's families, stirring chaos not just with the child but with the parents as well," Pitch praised him. "They've been boring rivals. A fight between you and fairies as strong as the Winx would be a sight worth the wait, Ogron."

"There was something about that Bloom girl; her powers felt as ancient as mine—like they've existed since the beginning of the universe. She must wield the remaining spark of pure dragon flame, the same one the Ancestresses searched for long ago. I vaguely remember seeing a portrait similar to hers in Hogwarts' Hall of Famous Aurors."

Just then, Gafara dialed Ogron's phone.

"Hello, Gafara. Pitch just informed me you'd call. This is Ogron, the red-haired wizard you saw from the balcony last night."

"I know exactly who you are, Ogron. I want to apologize. Bloom isn't a fairy of Earth, but she was raised there by two humans. She'll definitely be determined to protect it, so she'll be coming back to find the last fairy on Earth with her teammates," Gafara stated her voice resolute. "They're determined to stop your mission, but I can inform you of their movements every step of the way. I signed a contract with Pitch that binds me to him, and I don't want him exposing my lies."

"Good to hear. Dumant will be in touch. Look for a grey owl in the woods outside the school tomorrow," Ogron advised.

"I will?" gasped Dumant, surprised.

"You have the easiest camouflage; it makes sense for you, Dumant," Anagan replied smoothly. "An owl in the woods is normal—no fairy will think anything of it."

"Understood, Ogron. It should be easy for him to spot me. I am the only student here with white hair and brown eyes, wearing a red and green alternating ruffled striped dress," Gafara informed him.

"He heard you; he's in the room. And thank you for the apology; I appreciate it, my dear. I've been told what I'm allowed to let Gantlos do to you, so you better stay on track, young fairy."

"Understood, I'll get to work right away," agreed Gafara. "There's no way I want to be a frozen fairy."

"Excellent. Contact us soon, Gafara. Until then, good day, little fairy spy," Ogron replied hanging up.

Gafara found herself outside in the alleyway where the Winx first confronted the Trix as she had prepared to call Ogron as Pitch Black had instructed her. Above her, the sign read "Witch's Alley." She shivered feeling a chill run down her spine. She hated doing this to the Winx and Faragonda, but she had to comply with the demands set forth in the contract. She had no choice but to see it through.
