Bloom remained on her laptop, her fingers hovering above the keyboard as she wrestled with a troubling thought. The question nagged at her: if the Wizards of the Black Circle had been lurking around since before she was sent to Earth, why hadn't there been any reports of deaths from a strange menace? Perhaps Ogron wasn't interested in death, or perhaps annihilation wasn't his ultimate goal after all.

"What is it, Bloom?" Tecna asked, glancing over from her spot on the floor. They had been in Bloom's foster home for three days now, sharing their experiences with each other and enjoying their time together.

"It seems absurd to me that at least one human wouldn't notice something off about the Wizards," Bloom stated, her brow furrowed in deep contemplation. "Their magic is clearly foreign to this world, but not to ours. If people are still living, then we can deduce one thing: the full death of mankind was not Ogron or his brotherhood's goal." She continued, "There's also a 1,000-to-1 chance of just one person reporting a death, a 100-to-1 chance of someone claiming they saw something strange, and a 50-50 chance that, if they did, everyone would just call it a hoax."

"You mean the wizards' relentless weapon against these people is what they used against us—the element of surprise, which they utilized to incite fear?" Tecna guessed, her analytical mind piecing together Bloom's thoughts.

Bloom nodded, affirming her friend's conclusion. "The only reason it would never leak to the public is that the humans who actually saw them were so terrified by the sudden surprise that their bones may have permanently cracked or crippled from shaking, Tecna. It's the only logical explanation, as you would say."

"Thank you, and you mimicked me; I didn't know I sounded so softhearted," Tecna chuckled, a lightness entering the conversation.

"Check this out— I found a game you could play in the meantime to keep your technology fairy skills sharp," Bloom said, her face lighting up as she navigated to the download link. "You'd be playing as a fairy in it."

"No way!" Tecna exclaimed excitedly as she leaned in closer, her eyes wide with curiosity. She gently lifted Bloom's laptop onto her own lap. "You put my name on the character already?"

"Of course," Bloom replied, smirking with pride. "You deserve to have some fun. You worked so hard to keep the rest of us calm during our first lesson, and you're my closest friend. I hope we'll be best friends too very soon, Tecna."

Tecna grinned, her heart swelling at the sentiment. "Thanks, Bloom. That means a lot."

"I need to check with my foster mom to see how our first Italian breakfast is coming along," Bloom said, getting up from her spot. "Enjoy yourself."

As Bloom headed toward the kitchen, Tecna eagerly dove into the game, her fingers dancing over the keyboard as her character took flight. For a moment, the worries of their current situation faded away, replaced by excitement and a sense of camaraderie, as they navigated this unfamiliar world together, determined to uncover the truth behind the Wizards and protect their new home.

In the darkened corners of the haunted mansion, Ogron stood with his arms crossed, his red hair swaying slightly in the draft from the ventilation system. The dim light flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls as he listened intently.

"That fire fairy from that Magic Dimension team is almost too smart for her own good," Gantlos grumbled, irritation seeping into his tone. "But at least Gafara's spy gadget is working. We now know that they are on Earth too."

"Yes, she is fairly smart," Ogron replied casually, a subtle hint of low sympathy creeping into his voice. "Perhaps humans did her some good. Being raised on Earth probably wasn't the easiest life for her. That would have been quite the dramatic reality check for her, learning that her first home wasn't really her first home after all."
