"Can we go now?"

"Is there any orders from the Captain?"

"...No?"

"Then we can't just yet"

To the East of the shore that they came from, Naeslagt BMPs stood idly in echelon with their soldiers, keeping track of time as they await their orders.

"By the Gods, what is that Captain doing to take this long?"

As they have nothing to do after the initial contact, soldiers took their time to ensure security for their comrades in the meantime while others would do their own errands, such as refilling their magazines.

"Right" a rifleman then gave his now fully loaded mag a double tap against the palm "That ought to do it"

Truthfully, even before their cooperation with Flashia, these particular troopers have already gotten used to the life of constant waiting around, it's just that the excitement of being in combat against the unholy beings got the better of them.

In the end, they all know that they don't even know when the leadership will carry out the next-

"This is Captain Arnt Rosett, sorry to keep you boys waiting, I could not send you out without having our Flash friends accompany us on the way... Anyways, you are now all clear to advance alongside your Flash counterpart, out"

And almost immediately after that, the machines all growl to life once more.

...

"...The name Beri has its historical ties with the Lost Empire who called the island and the inhabitants as such and is where the nation of Beria gets its name from. As the biggest island of the Kingdom, Beri hosts the Royal Capital as well as a majority of the major cities in the country"

...

A group of DLA defenders stay over at a house where they'd reconsolidate their grouping after the strike that took out quite a bit of their manpower and defense.

South-West Beri
All of these troops consisting of lizardmen and a kinetic magic caster whose hood conceals much of their feature knew that the invaders are coming.

"Right, how do we do this?" questioned one of the leading figures amongst the reptiles "We have mostly archers with some swords, as well as our kinetic mage here, how do we fight this enemy?"

Within the safety of the walls around them, they discussed tactics for the inevitable battle.

"We could regroup into a much larger formation so that we could charge at the enemy forces and overwhelm them"

"No..." the hooded magic user shook his head "...Don't you remember what happened before this? They could just wipe all of you out without a second to think about it, not mentioning that how would you be able to get sufficient numbers to execute such tactics"

"Indeed, whatever those dragons are did irreparable damage to our assets..." agreed the leader "Let's not get into visible formation of size lest we paint a target on ourselves and make the situation even worse"

"Then shall we lay low in buildings and strike when they least expect it?" suggested another member.

"...Hidden from the dragons, dealing casualties before they even realize it then disappear again..." mumbled the leader "...That sounds good to me"

While they were close to reaching a common ground, sound outside grabbed their attention. Those sound, upon having a closer listen, sounded awfully like boots moving around.

The hooded mage sighs as he positioned himself to the wall opposite of the front door, the others would also get themselves into ad-hoc combat positions.
