I wanted to drop this arc, I really do... but the potential for the Berians to be involved somewhere in the future (in-story) is too tempting for me to bring myself to do it. As I have repeatedly stated, the whole arc will (probably) be rushed.
also the reason why i have been so damn slow for this to come out is because animating viewmodels (those fps reload animations you see) for gaems is my main thing now.
Anyways, duccord here: https://discord.gg/UqgavrsYUd

A wind blows past the face of a masked Geschnokean rifleman, the chill felt on his exposed skin, a harsh reminder of how he felt like freezing out here marching with his regiment. It's miserable, more so than what he had to put up in bootcamp, yet he has no one to blame but himself for signing up to this.
He looked up and down back to back, his pace remains steady with the others, his face tensed as a desire for at least a fire flared up. As he stared at his feet, a rumble is felt.
First, it was the feeling of something else moving on the road, then it was the sound that only got louder and louder until it became impossible to ignore.
He turned to look over his shoulder only to see a huge block of metal on wheels zoom past. On the bed seen at the rear were people.
"Shame to be you doesn't it?!?" heckled an occupant as they erupted into laughter.
They were fellow Geschnokeans.
And god damn has he never felt like putting a bullet into his own countrymen before.
The convoy of trucks continued to pass by. Some heckled the walking soldiers, some respectfully keeps their mouth shut, some waves enthusiastically...
None of them helped with his fatigue. And he just keeps on walking. That is until tires then screeched as the last truck of the convoy stops just next to them and the driver in green camo leans out his window.
"I'll give you 30 seconds to decide whether you want on the truck or not" he said as soldiers approached the vehicle to hear him out "If you made up your mind within that and I'm yours no matter what, just tell me where to go and we'll get there. Anything either side of that and you're on your own, got it?"
He turned to his squad leader, the others also did. With all eyes on him, his officer made his decision.
"We'll go"
The driver nodded.
"Get on the back, quickly"
He and the other soldiers happily jogged around to the rear of the truck, eager to climb onto the bed.
"Ow, stop pushing me around!"
Some would say too eager...

"Be advised, Watchmen reported back spotting of some fortifications covering almost every avenue, a few defensive lines spread out about say 100, 150 meters apart from each other, more or less about a day old, how copy, over?"
"Copy that, we're keeping that in mind"
A platoon of infantry fighting vehicles rumbled as they wait for their time to shine again. Infantry soldiers stood above their hatches at the rear of the vehicle as they too awaited for the time for another action.
"Shit, what are we waiting for...?" one checked his watch "...They're almost out for good, why don't we just finish them off here and now?"
"I don't man... supply lines maybe?"
"Thought logistics been sorted out already?"
While yes, due to their blisteringly fast gains, logistics took a while to keep up and get their vehicles and soldiers what they needed, it was only for a short while until they consistently got their supplies. There's not much in the way of making another move now.
