The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the quiet streets of the small town. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom, their delicate petals fluttering gently to the ground like soft pink snow. The air was filled with the sweet scent of sakura and the distant murmur of a nearby stream. You found yourself walking beside Iroha, the path lined with quaint wooden houses and paper lanterns swaying softly in the breeze.

Iroha, who was three years younger than you, was a bundle of energy as always. Today, she was wearing a light blue yukata, adorned with patterns of tiny sakura petals that matched the blossoms overhead. Her geta clacked rhythmically against the stone path as she walked, her bright eyes taking in everything around her with childlike wonder.

"Y/N, look at all the sakura petals!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.

"Aren't they beautiful?"

You smiled at her enthusiasm.

"They are. Just like every spring."

She twirled around, her yukata flaring out slightly as she tried to catch the falling petals in her hands. You couldn't help but chuckle at her playful antics. Iroha had always been like this—full of life and joy, with a heart as light as the petals that danced around her.

"Guess what?" she said suddenly, stopping in her tracks and turning to face you.

"What is it this time, Roha-chan?" you replied with a smile, already half-expecting one of her usual antics.

She puffed out her cheeks in mock frustration.

"Hey, don't sound so bored! This is serious!"

You chuckled, unable to resist her cuteness. Iroha had always been like this—bubbly, mischievous, and persistent. Over the past few months, she'd been dropping hints and outright confessing her feelings for you, but you'd always brushed them off, reminding her that you saw her as a little sister. But today, something was different.

"Okay, okay," you said, trying to sound serious, "What is it, Roha-chan?"

"I want you to take me on a date! A real date! Not just the usual hanging out we do."

You blinked, momentarily surprised.

"A date?"

"Yes!" she nodded vigorously, her pigtails bouncing.

"A proper one! Please, Y/N?"

You hesitated, your gaze lingering on her hopeful expression. Iroha was precious to you, like a little sister, even if you weren't related by blood. But seeing her now, with that earnest look in her eyes, you knew this wasn't just a whim.

"Alright, Iroha," you said, giving in with a smile.

"One date."

Her face lit up with joy, and she clapped her hands together, her voice ringing out like a bell.

"Yay! I promise you won't regret it!"

The next day, you met Iroha at a small traditional café near the town's temple. The café was tucked away behind a grove of bamboo, its entrance marked by a simple noren curtain fluttering in the breeze. Inside, the tatami mats were soft underfoot, and the air was filled with the soothing aroma of freshly brewed green tea.

Iroha sat across from you, her hands folded neatly in her lap. She had chosen a different yukata today, this one a soft pink with delicate floral patterns. Her eyes sparkled as she looked around the café, clearly pleased with her choice of venue.

"Do you like it here, Y/N?" she asked, her voice soft and full of anticipation.

You nodded, appreciating the serene atmosphere.
