The golden afternoon sun filtered through the window, casting a warm glow over the small café. I sat across from Gaeul, watching her stir her coffee with a calm expression on her face. Her focus was elsewhere, her lips curved in that subtle, serene smile she often wore. I, on the other hand, couldn't help but let my serious demeanor fade the moment I was around her.

"Noona," I called softly, shifting in my seat and resting my chin on my hand.

Her eyes flicked toward me, amusement dancing in them.

"Yes?"

I grinned, leaning forward just a bit.

"You look really pretty today. Did I tell you that already?"

She chuckled lightly, shaking her head.

"You've told me that three times since we sat down."

I feigned surprise, sitting up straight.

"What? Really? Then I should say it again, noona, because it's true."

Gaeul let out a soft sigh, though I could see her smile widen just a bit.

"You're so childish, Y/N. You don't act like this with anyone else."

I shrugged, playfully reaching across the table to poke her hand.

"That's because you are too special. I can't help it."

Her expression softened, but she remained composed. "You know, you act all mature when you're around other people. Then the second we're together, you turn into this... clingy little brother."

"But I'm not your little brother," I said with a teasing tone, giving her a pout.

"I'm your Y/N."

She raised an eyebrow at me, clearly amused but trying to maintain her composure.

"And what does that mean?"

"It means..." I paused for dramatic effect, "I only act like this around you because you're my favourite."

She laughed, shaking her head. "How did I end up with you like this?"

I grinned, my hand slowly reaching out to hers on the table. She didn't pull away, so I gently intertwined our fingers.

"Because you like me, noona. Admit it."

Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she didn't pull her hand back. Instead, she gave me a playful glare. "Don't get ahead of yourself."

We decided to take a walk in the park after we finished at the café, the cool breeze of the evening brushing against us. The streets were alive with people, but I stayed close to Gaeul's side, the childish side of me still lingering whenever I was with her.

"Noona," I said after a while, our hands still linked from earlier.

"Yes, Y/N?"

"You always let me hold your hand," I pointed out with a grin.

"Does that mean you like it?"

She looked down at our hands, and I could tell she was trying to suppress a smile.

"Maybe I do."

I gave her hand a playful squeeze.

"See? You like my clinginess."

She rolled her eyes but squeezed back gently.

"I tolerate it."

I laughed, bumping her shoulder with mine as we walked. "You don't have to act so cool around me, noona. I know you find it cute."

Gaeul let out a soft laugh, her eyes meeting mine for a moment before looking away. "Maybe I do," she admitted quietly.

I stopped in my tracks, pulling her back slightly. "Wait, say that again?"

She turned to face me, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I said maybe I do."

I grinned, feeling that familiar rush of warmth in my chest.

"I knew it," I teased, my fingers still tangled with hers.

"You think I'm adorable."

"You're a handful Y/N," she sighed, though the fondness in her voice was unmistakable.

"Yep hehe," I said, pulling her closer for a brief second.

She didn't resist, and we continued walking side by side, her presence making me feel lighter than I had in a long time. I might've been mature when I wasn't with her, handling responsibilities and acting my age, but Gaeul always brought out a side of me that was softer, more playful—just for her.

When we reached a quieter part of the park, I tugged her hand, leading her to sit down on a nearby bench. The night air had turned cool, but sitting there next to her felt warm and comforting.

"Noona," I said softly, glancing at her as we sat side by side.

"Hmm?"

"I really like being with you."

She looked over at me, her gaze soft but serious. "I know."

"Do you?" I asked, my voice quieting. "Even though I act like a kid around you?"

Gaeul smiled, her hand still holding mine. "It's only because it's me, right? You're not like this with anyone else."

I nodded, feeling a bit shy for once. "Only you, noona."

She looked at me for a long moment, and then, to my surprise, she leaned her head on my shoulder. My heart skipped a beat, and I couldn't hide the smile that crept onto my face.

"I guess I like that side of you," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her just a little closer. "Good, because that side's never going away."

She laughed quietly, and we sat there in the stillness of the evening, my heart full of warmth. Being with Gaeul made everything feel right, and even if I acted like a child sometimes, I knew she wouldn't have it any other way.
