Five years passed in the blink of an eye.
Five years since everything in Jeon mansion went quiet.
Five years since Hana went quiet and stopped talking to anyone, especially Jungkook. She was furious at him for making everything worse.
Five years since Jungkook felt like something was suffocating him again and again whenever he saw the miseries of his son and daughter-in-law.
Five years since Taehyung left the place and was sent to some unknown place for training about which no one knew. Of course, Jungkook knew where Taehyung was, but he never told anyone because no one was ready for that information.
Jungkook saw Hana crying silently, so he walked towards her for the first time in the past six years.
As soon as Hana saw him approaching, she quickly wiped her tears away and stood up from the staircases and was going to walk away, but Jungkook's voice stopped her.
"We all know that it was a must to do. And he'll be back in no time soon, so stop crying. " Jungkook didn't know how much insensitive he just sounded, which obviously triggered Hana.
She was the one who never talked back to his excellency, aka Jungkook, but she couldn't believe the man before her. A sarcastic and sad scoffing sound left her lips.
"I'm sorry, appa, but you sound so heartless right now." Hana's demeanor left Jungkook bewildered for a moment. It might be the first time she dares to talk back to him.
He wasn't any egoistic jerk , so she couldn't talk back, but she chose not to. Seeing her talking back to him in not so respectful tone surely left him bewildered as his eyes widened for a moment before going back to their normal size.
"I apologise in advance for talking back to you like the way I'm going to, but I'm fed up. I'm fed up with everything! I'm a mother.....I can't bear my child go away from me for six years now and not even crying. " Hana said, trying to control her emotional outburst.
"My life was already hell before I met Jaehyun.......I thought......I thought that maybe.....maybe I'll be happy afterward......." Hana said, and Jungkook listened to her quietly.
"I was happy when you accepted me and let me carry Taehyung and raise him, but who gave you rights to snatch my child from me?" Hana raised her voice at which Jungkook growled lowly.
"Tone down,Hana. And enlighten me on how I snatched your son from you? Was sending him to train himself and making him strong a wrong decision?" Jungkook said only to make Hana more furious.
"Train? Strong? I'm sorry, appa, but no....you did nothing like that? He was only 13! My poor baby was crying.....he had sleepless nights after he got to know about this. He couldn't sleep alone in his room at all.....he was afraid....afraid that he'll be sent away without his knowledge. My baby was scared! He had panic attacks...." Hana cried as those memories flashed before her eyes.
"....who's responsible?" Hana gulped, and Jungkook did feel guilty, but he knew that his decision wasn't wrong because Taehyung was losing control over his werewolf again and again.
Jungkook surely loathed the hybrid, but after all, he was his grandson. Taehyung might not be his blood, but Hana was his legal daughter-in-law, and Taehyung was her son.
"You don't know the pain of a mother ,appa. You don't know how it felt when I received a message from an anonymous person telling me that that person can't take it anymore. Telling me how that person is getting bullied because he doesn't fit in that new place....telling....telling me that he's hurt and bleeding......" Hana sobbed.
"That handwriting was so familiar that I didn't know when I started crying . There were blood drops in that letter and when I brought that letter close to my nose.....I.....I fucking smell my son's blood!" Hana shouted, falling on her knees.
Jungkook had no idea what Hana was blabbering because no one informed him about the bullying Taehyung might be suffering from. And, blood? He never knew it could be this bad.
"Appa--- Hana?" Jaehyun quickly rushed towards Hana and gave her hid shoulder to cry on.
"I'm so-sorry....appa.....sorry for talking back to you bu-but....today is his birthday, and my son is gonna be 18.....I'm missing him so much. I received no letter from him after that bloodied one. It tears my heart thinking that something bad happened to him...." Hana sniffled and cried hysterically.
Jungkook gulped slowly and saw Jaehyun reassuring Hana and comforting her. He quietly left the broken couple behind. He walked out to get some fresh air.
Unknowingly, Jungkook touched the tattoo on his neck. After Taehyung brutally injured Jungkook's neck that day for drinking blood, it left a horrible scar behind. To hide it, Jungkook inked a tattoo there.
Jungkook remembered Taehyung's little hopeful eyes every time he spared a glance towards him. Jungkook remembered how much Taehyung admired him, but now he was left with the thought of if Taehyung would admire him the same or not.
Jungkook admitted that he didn't like that kid, but he never wanted Taehyung to suffer because of him. He knew the suffering and no kne had suffered worse than him.
Jungkook felt a little bit jealous whenever he saw Hana crying for her son and loving him to death. He, too, wanted to feel the love of his mother .
Jungkook scoffed his thoughts away and didn't realize that it was already evening now, so he headed back to the mansion.
______________
______________Jungkook was sitting at the dining room,in chair, ready to have his dinner. It was Taehyung's birthday, so Hana has prepared the meal especially.
Jungkook was going to take his first bite when Jaehyun coughed and grabbed his attention.
Jungkook looked at him, and then his gaze fell over Hana, who was looking down. She wanted to apologize for her behavior.
She surely was angry at Jungkook for sending Taehyung away from her, but she also knew that Taehyung needed training. But still.....if Jungkook wanted, he could've easily trained Taehyung, and Jungkook knew that too.
"Appa....." Hana started, and Jungkook just hummed.
"I...I didn't mean to raise my voice.....I--" before she could continue, a distressed Yoongi barged in, sweating from head to toe and breathing ragged.
"Yoongi? What's wro--" Jungkook was going to ask what's wrong, but what Yoongi said next sent shivers down to his spine.
"Tae....Taehyung.....he.....he killed two werewolf-vampire hybrids....." Yoongi spoke, and everyone's eyes widened in shock.
