As Jungkook walked, only one thought echoing in his mind—Taehyung—he was abruptly stopped by something hard colliding with his face.
A sharp pain followed, and Jungkook’s expression instantly shifted to fury. But it melted away the moment he saw a fuming Yoongi standing in front of him, fist still clenched.
"How dare you show yourself after a week?" Yoongi’s voice thundered. "Do you have any shame left? Do you even know how hard it's been for all of us!?"
Jungkook’s shoulders slumped slightly, his breath shaky. “I tried finding him… but no one told me Hana had brought him here. No one told me…”
His voice was heavy—thick with emotions barely held back. Yoongi could see it clearly now. Jungkook wasn't in any better state than Taehyung… in fact, he looked worse. Pale, weak, eyes bloodshot—not just from lack of sleep, but from crying. Jungkook looked like he could collapse at any second.
“Why would they tell you?” Yoongi snapped, though softer than before. “Everyone knows, Jungkook… and those who don’t—they’ve probably already guessed.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened slightly. His voice trembled. “They know?”
His heart pounded in panic. If everyone knew about him and Taehyung, it meant danger. Blood. A war. A war Jungkook was terrified of being helpless in again.
“They don’t know,” Yoongi reassured, “but they have their guesses. Right now, only family knows. But you need to clear things up—and fast. Seokjin told me tension is rising. We need to prepare… battle’s closing in by next week.”
He placed a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder.
“I’m angry at you, Jungkook. So much. But…” Yoongi sighed. “Taehyung needs you. He’s in that room. But you can’t go in—Hana’s with him.”
Jungkook’s eyes shifted immediately to the window above. Taehyung. His chest tightened with impatience, longing, guilt.
“I’ll try to call him down,” Yoongi said gently.
At those words, Jungkook looked at him—hopeful, desperate.
“I said I’ll try, Jungkook. That’s all I can do right now. Things… things have been really hard.”
Jungkook just nodded slowly, breathing deep to steady the storm swelling within him.

Jungkook had been waiting for half an hour now, eyes fixed on the moon—waiting for his moon... Taehyung.
He didn’t know how he would react upon seeing him again—or worse—how he’d ever explain his disappearance. The thoughts whirled like a storm in his mind, and he closed his eyes against the heaviness.
Suddenly, a familiar scent tickled his senses—one he’d been aching for.
Hyacinth.
Jungkook’s eyes snapped open. He turned around and saw Taehyung approaching with slow, uncertain steps. He looked thinner—worn out—but under the moonlight, his face still glowed, ethereal as ever.
Unable to wait any longer, Jungkook rushed forward to close the distance. The moment his eyes truly fell on Taehyung, tears spilled before any words could.
