Another blow — and Namjoon’s body slammed into the far corner of the room, a sickening thud echoing off the walls.
“F-Forgive m-me, Your Excellency…” Namjoon choked, blood spilling from his mouth and nose, trembling hands barely able to lift in surrender.
“Never.”
Jungkook growled the word like a curse, eyes blazing with fury.
He stormed forward, grabbed a fistful of Namjoon’s blood-matted hair, and smashed his head against the wall — once, twice, again — until cracks lined the plaster and blood smeared like paint.
“Your Excellency, please!” Namjoon’s mother fell to her knees, clutching at Jungkook’s boots, her face drenched in tears. “Please, forgive my son!”
Jungkook’s stare didn’t waver. Cold. Merciless.
“Leave.”
His voice wasn’t loud — but it was enough. The weight of command, the chill of power, and the darkness in his tone forced her to stumble back in fear.
“I-I know… I know he must’ve done something wrong to deserve this…” she sobbed, hands trembling in prayer. “But please… please, I beg of you…”
She didn’t know the details — not yet. But she could see the storm in Jungkook’s eyes and feel the death lingering in the air.
After hearing what had happened to Taehyung, Jungkook hadn’t wasted a single second. He had stormed straight to Namjoon’s house and into his room with one thing in mind:
Retribution.
No one touched Taehyung.
No one hurt him.
And lived.
“Something wrong?” Jungkook repeated, stepping over the blood pooling on the floor. “He dared to lay a hand on Taehyung.”
Namjoon’s mother froze — the truth hitting her like ice.
“No…” she whispered, horrified. “No, no please… please… I’ll discipline him myself, just don’t… oh my god—”
Namjoon coughed violently, spraying blood onto the floor.
Her screams filled the room.
“Please! Please stop!” she begged. “He… he saved His Highness once! Don’t you remember? During training—he saved him!”
Jungkook halted mid-step.
The words struck him like a blade.
He slowly turned toward her, voice sharp. “What are you talking about?”
Her lips trembled. “It was years ago. In the early days of training… your Highness was ambushed—dragged by rogue vampires from the east camp.”
Jungkook’s eyes narrowed, darkness churning inside him.
“They… they tried to… violate him…” her voice broke completely. “My son—he was the only one who stepped in. He… he brought your Highness back… he fought them off alone…”
Jungkook’s breathing stilled.
He had known Taehyung was bullied back then — but he hadn’t known this.
Namjoon’s body lay motionless on the ground, bloodied and gasping. Jungkook stared at him, jaw clenched so tightly it ached.
Without a word, he turned and walked out. His knuckles were raw, bleeding — but not as much as his soul was.
