"Hey, kitty..." Jimin called out as Yoongi made his way to his room.
Though he usually lived outside the Jeon mansion, Yoongi had temporarily moved in after the recent chaos in Vireldor. Jimin was staying there too—only because Taehyung had taken special permission from his parents on his behalf.
Yoongi ignored him.
"Why are you looking around like that? Yes, I'm talking to you," Jimin grinned, knowing full well he was pressing the wrong buttons.
Yoongi clenched his fists, jaw tightening. "Have some respect, will you? I’m way older than you."
"Oh? And here I thought age didn’t matter among creatures like us," Jimin replied smoothly, his tone sharp with sarcasm. "If we go looking for partners our own age, we'd be fools."
Yoongi stiffened—he knew exactly where that line had come from. He’d said it to Jungkook earlier that day.
Panic spiked in his chest. Without a word, he grabbed Jimin by the wrist and dragged him into his room. Slamming the door shut, he turned, dark eyes boring into Jimin's.
"You were spying on me?"
His voice had dropped to a dangerous level. And while it sent a chill down Jimin’s spine, he straightened his posture, pushing away the fear.
"No. The door was open. I just happened to pass by. So... not my fault," Jimin replied, lying like a pro.
"What else did you hear?" Yoongi wasn’t playing anymore.
Jimin gave a teasing smile. "Well... I guess I wasn’t supposed to hear anything. In short—everything."
Yoongi let out a long breath and sat at the edge of the bed. "Does Taehyung know?"
"No. And he’ll never know—if you tell me the truth," Jimin said, getting straight to the point. His tone was calm, but the threat beneath it was clear.
Yoongi’s eyes widened slightly. This brat... is threatening me? And yet... something about it was oddly amusing.
"What truth do you want?" he grunted. He didn’t like this. Normally, someone threatening him like this would already be six feet under. But this was Taehyung’s best friend—so he was helpless.
Jimin didn’t hold back. "What did you mean when you said Taehyung isn’t His Excellency’s biological grandson?"
Yoongi blinked. So direct… "You’re so damn straightforward. At least pretend to hesitate."
"I’d appreciate it if you were just as straightforward," Jimin replied politely this time. "Please answer my question."
Yoongi sighed. "You’re not allowed to tell Taehyung any of this."
"As long as it doesn’t hurt him, I’ll keep my mouth shut. But in exchange, you’ll answer another question of mine," Jimin bargained, flashing a small, smug smirk.
"Urgh... fine." Yoongi raked a hand through his hair. 'What the hell am I doing...?'
He finally spoke. "Yes, Taehyung isn’t His Excellency’s biological grandson. Jaehyun isn’t his biological father either. When Hana and Jaehyun got married, Hana was already pregnant with Taehyung. She had suffered a lot in her pack because she was a recessive omega."
