It was pure chaos.
A literal, guttural chaos.
Screams, growls, and roars tore through the air, mingling with the coppery smell of blood and the crackle of flaring spells.
Taehyung’s eyes shone bright purple. Fully unleashed, he cut through each threat as if plucking weeds from a garden. The soldiers around him watched in stunned silence — never had they seen such raw power — but Taehyung didn’t care. He moved like a force of nature.
Meanwhile, when Jungkook received word that the East had been attacked, he ran like a man possessed, praying to every hollow god that Taehyung was safe. He didn’t yet know the extent of Taehyung’s strength; his mind offered no comforting thoughts, only stabbing images of danger he forced himself to reject.
The battle spread like wildfire. The attacks were brutal; hundreds were already dead — soldiers, innocents, even children from both vampire and werewolf lines.
“You and your pathetic king will be kneeling at our alpha’s feet soon,” Hyuntaek spat — Sungjae’s right hand and a general of the werewolf forces.
“Imagination is free,” Taehyung replied, a humorless chuckle escaping him. He tightened his grip on his blades as Hyuntaek unleashed alpha pheromones across the field.
“Heard you’re an omega too. Quite impressive,” Hyuntaek sneered, teeth bared when Taehyung didn’t falter.
Even though Hyuntaek wasn’t true-blooded, his pheromones could make many alphas stagger. But Taehyung stood unyielding.
“Why? Because your Luna isn’t as strong as me?” Taehyung shot back, the sarcasm ringing in his words before he turned deadly serious as Hyuntaek lunged and clenched his sword tighter.
“You can’t win,” Hyuntaek growled, and then attacked.
Taehyung dodged with effortless grace and struck back, every movement precise and lethal.
“Can’t… can’t die before making your fucking alpha pay for what he did to my king,” Taehyung snarled. The battlefield around them thickened with oppressive aura and the metallic scent of blood as power after power clashed.
Everyone froze when Hyuntaek’s enchanted sword clashed against Taehyung’s seraph blades.
Hyuntaek’s weapon wasn’t ordinary — forged with dark magic, it could reduce anything, anyone, to dust. And Hyuntaek himself was no common alpha. Though not true-blooded, the witch’s blood in his veins made him far more dangerous. He was half-witch, half-wolf — a nightmare born of forbidden power.
“Shit… it’s suffocating,” several alphas and betas wheezed on the ground, clutching their throats.
Hyuntaek’s pheromones spread like poison gas, making werewolves stagger and even forcing some vampire warriors to their knees.
Steel clashed again and again, the air ringing with sharp metallic clings. Taehyung panted hard, but Hyuntaek’s breathing was heavier, his disbelief growing with every second at the sheer strength Taehyung wielded.
“Taehyung!”
Taehyung’s focus faltered at Minnie’s choked voice. He kicked Hyuntaek backward and spun around — only to see a masked man pressing a knife to her throat.
