Taehyung stood ready, adjusting his outfit for the café gathering his friends had organized for his birthday. The royal family’s birthday wishes were already complete: Jaehyun had gifted him new clothes, and Hana had called earlier to send her love.
As Taehyung prepared to leave, Jungkook suddenly stepped into his path.
“Wait—you’re not going alone,” Jungkook said firmly.
Taehyung blinked in surprise and quickly bowed his head in respect when he noticed another figure standing beside Jungkook.
“He’ll accompany you,” Jungkook continued, nodding toward the man. “Recently, things haven’t been going as planned, so we can’t take any risks. He’s one of my strongest men.”
The man stepped forward and bowed deeply. “Greetings, Your Highness. Choi San, at your service.”
Taehyung hummed, scanning the newcomer from head to toe. San was undeniably handsome, and the way Taehyung’s eyes lingered on him didn’t escape Jungkook’s sharp notice.
Jungkook cleared his throat loudly, breaking Taehyung’s gaze. Taehyung shot him a look of pure exasperation but said nothing as he turned to leave. Soon, he and San headed out toward the café location.
Moments later, one of the royal guards approached Jungkook with urgency in his steps.
“Your Excellency, the officials request an emergency meeting. We’ve gathered some critical information.”
Jungkook’s expression darkened as he nodded. Without wasting a moment, he turned and strode toward the council chamber.

“You’re so cool! I wanna explore that area too!” Wooyoung exclaimed excitedly.
“It might be dangerous,” San replied, his voice polite and formal.
“Hey, treat me like a friend. I like people who are comfortable around me,” Wooyoung said, grinning from ear to ear.
San hesitated, then offered a small, shy smile.
“Oh! It’s our order, come on.” Wooyoung tugged Minnie away with him.
“Hey! When did I agree to come with you?!” Minnie protested, but Wooyoung was already dragging her off.
Meanwhile, Taehyung turned back to San. “San, can you pass me the ketchup, please?”
San quickly reached for it. “Here, Your Highness.”
“Don’t call me that. Call me Taehyung. Or Tae. Whatever suits your tongue better,” Taehyung insisted.
San shook his head vigorously. “His Excellency would kill me!” he exclaimed, eyes wide.
“And why do you think that?” Taehyung asked, growing genuinely curious.
“I mean… you’re very special to him, and he always takes care of you like you’re his—”
