It has been 10 weeks.
2 and a half months.
Since the... incident. As I like to address it.
Life pretty much changed, felt weird and different. But now, I guess it is slowly reverting to the usual.
It took me a lot of time to recover from what happened that night.
But I did. I have definitely recovered now.
I would majorly like to thank so many people for that.
Starting with Aarohi.
That girl sticked with me. I felt so ugly, so devastated after that night. I was pretty much a mess to handle. But Aarohi did handle that mess. I don't know how. But she helped me so much to get out of that agony.
She stayed with me for over more than 6 weeks. After which, she sadly had to leave.
She had to visit someone from family, living in Dallas, USA.
During the time she was not here, I stayed with my parents.
Yes. They still do not know about the... incident.
And I'd like to keep it that way.
They just thought I was there for a little break, and time with them, also helped me tremendously to heal from that trauma.
Trauma. The word seems heavy, but so are the memories from the night.
I was still getting haunted by the reflections of that night. I could see the man standing in my hall, walking towards me with nothing but pure gross desire.
Those hallucinations did not stop until 2 weeks.
2 weeks. The time I took off from work. That's a lot of time, but I was not able to collect myself to get up and go out of the house.
After 2 weeks of constant reassurance, constant safety, constant positivity, and constant encouragement, I was able to make my mind and get out of the house.
Initially it was a tad bit difficult. Everybody kept questioning me regarding my absence, to which I of course lied.
But work helped me so heal.
My mind would stay distracted from all sorts of fear and negativity and it made me feel so much better than before.
Apart from Aarohi, work and my parents to thank for, I have the biggest gratitude for the house guards I got.
