Pon’s several near-perfect test papers did indeed have a certain impact.

Upon hearing his plans for an outing and looking at Pon’s completed homework, Sammy raised her eyebrows and then lowered them.

She ruffled her youngest son’s head and thought to herself that although he can be a bit mischievous, at least his grades haven’t suffered, there was finally something she can be proud of besides his face.

So, with a wave of her hand, she allowed Pon to go out and even provided him with some extra money to supplement his meager wallet.

However, as Sammy looked at him, she couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

“This money is for your outing. Don’t come back with a 4000 baht blessed jade pendant again,” Sammy nagged him.

Upon hearing this, Pon’s face fell, and he grumbled quietly, dissatisfied, “That was years ago. Why do you always bring it up? Can’t you give your son a bit of face?”

That incident happened during his third year in junior high.

He went on that trip with Sailub and his siblings. All it took was the time used to burn some incense.

While the others were momentarily distracted, he was swindled by a vendor selling jade pendants near the temple entrance.

The pendant was said to have been blessed and possessed spiritual qualities.

By the time Sailub rushed over, that fool Pon was still squatting in front of the vendor’s stall, contemplating buying another pendant to give to Sailub as well.

Sailub didn’t know whether to thank him for his thoughtfulness or scold him for being foolish.

But before Sailub could confront the vendor, the vendor had already sensed the situation and hastily packed up and fled. It was clear that he was very experienced in his line of work.

When they returned home, Sammy listened to her daughter recounts the whole incident and wasn’t sure what expression to put on her face.

She thought to herself, “With Pon’s math skills, he should be able to score at least 140. He doesn’t look like a fool at all, so why is he easier to deceive than the old man at the village entrance?”

After much consideration, the only conclusion she could draw was that this child took after his father. He might be academically intelligent, but naturally lacked common sense in daily life.

"Sai, please keep an eye on him," Sammy turned to the more reliable one on the side and instructed, "Try to come back early, you still have classes even if it's the National Day."

As she said this, Pon thought of something else.

"You and Dad are going back to Kanchanaburi this afternoon, right? What time?" Pon asked.

His parents' jobs weren't in the local area, and Kanchanaburi was the city where their company was located.

This time for National Day, they had taken annual leave, but they had to return in a few days.

“Yeah, we have to leave at two. We still have work at the company.”
Sammy felt a bit guilty towards Pon.

When Day and Moon were young, their jobs weren’t as busy and they had time to accompany the twins as they grew up.

However, when Pon was born, they were both promoted and hardly had any time to take care of the child.

Growing up, most of Li Pon’s trips were with Sailub or his older siblings. He rarely went out with his parents.

“Have fun, and if you need anything, ask your brother, otherwise, try not to disturb them on their couple’s date,”

Sammy patted Pon's shoulder.

Pon didn’t say anything further.

He waved to his mom and left with Sailub.

While waiting for Zee and Day to drive the car to the front gate, saoly asked Pon in a low voice, “Do you not want to go anymore? You want to spend a couple more days with Auntie and Uncle?”

Pon didn’t speak, pouting and seemingly angry with someone.
But after a while, he said quietly, “It’s not that. Even if I stay at home, they can’t really spend time with me anyway. They’re leaving in the afternoon, and these two extra hours won’t make much of a difference. It’ll just put a burden on them instead, making them think that I can’t bear to be apart from them.”

Pon fiddled with the handle on the suitcase, remembering last year’s parent-teacher conference, which his brother attended.

Although he could be mischievous and a bit playful, his grades were excellent, and the parents present all looked at him with praise.

But unfortunately, among all those people, his own parents were not there.

Zee’s car had already arrived, and he was parking and opening the trunk, signaling for them to come over.

Sailub lifted the suitcase and reached for Pon’s hand. “Let’s go. Although you might be tired of seeing me, I’m the one who will be accompanying you this National Day. So say it, what do you want to eat when we arrive?”

As Pon was led by Sailub towards the car, he thought for a moment and then began smiling again.

“I want to eat ice cream.”

“Is that all you want? Can’t you have a little more ambition?”

Pon boldly replied, “Life isn’t worth living without ice cream.”

Sitting in the car, Pon looked at the sky outside. It was still only 9 am.

He asked his brother, “Phi, how long will it take us to reach that resort?”

Day glanced at the navigation and and replied, “About an hour.”

Pon responded with an “Oh” and stopped talking.

He took out his phone and started checking if there were any interesting places near the resort together with Sailub.

Hearing Pon chattering behind him, Zee chuckled and said to Day, “Your little brother is quite a chatterbox.”

Day also laughed. Pon had indeed always been lively and talkative since he was a kid.

“Fortunately, Sai can handle him,” Day smiled and shook his head.

After twenty minutes, Day glanced at the rearview mirror and noticed that Pon had already fallen asleep on Sailub’s shoulder.

Pon’s face was pressed against Sailub’s neck, with almost half of his body weighing on Sailub.

Sailub didn’t mind his weight and even seemed accustomed to it.

He had one hand around Pon’s waist, while the other held his phone.

Who knows whether Pon was uncomfortable or something else, but he murmured a few words in his sleep.

Sailub lowered his head and took a glance, then adjusted their positions to make it more comfortable for Pon.

Day raised an eyebrow, thinking that even he didn’t have that much patience for Pon.

It wasn’t until they arrived at the vacation resort that Sailub woke Pon up.

This resort had three accommodation areas, consisting of three buildings.

Zee booked a small villa in Zone A for himself and Day, while he packed Pon and Sailub off to a hotel in Zone B, clearly intending to get rid of the two tagalongs.

However, Zone A and Zone B were only a ten-minute walk apart, very close to each other.

Once they entered the room in Zone B, Pon realized it was also a suite. He and Lu Sailub each had their own room with a small living room in between.

It resembled the layout of their dormitory, but much larger and more luxurious.

There was even a small kitchen next to the living room, and the refrigerator was filled with food.

Pon rummaged through it and unexpectedly found a bottle of champagne.
