Sailub stayed with Pon in the hospital for several days, but he could only stay until 6 pm.
After 6 pm, visitation to the omega isolation ward wasn't allowed.
So, during these nights, he stayed alone in the hotel at the vacation resort without Pon's lively and noisy presence.
He turned on the TV in the living room, and the sounds of gunfire and explosions echoed continuously from the screen.
However, he still felt that it was too quiet.
After watching TV for a while, perhaps because he had been so annoyed by Pon in the afternoon, Sailub unexpectedly fell asleep. The TV stopped playing action movies and switched to a romantic film, featuring childhood sweethearts and innocent playmates, an alpha and an omega.
They were both good-looking and elegant boys. After school, they held hands and walked home, buying a bouquet of flowers at the entrance of a small alley.
But then, right as they separated, a car accident happened... and cries instantly filled the air.
Sailub wasn't awakened by the sound of mournful cries.
He dreamt of Pon.
Behind a glass wall, Pon wore a white gown. A slender ankle peeked out from under the robe. He tapped lightly on the floor on his tiptoes.Sailub approached and picked Pon up, placing him on the windowsill.
Outside the windowsill, the sunlight was just right, and there were newly sprouted green plants next to the window, trembling in the spring light.
The hospital room clearly had no windows or balcony, but in Sailub's dream, they existed.
Sitting on the windowsill, Pon's slim legs swayed back and forth, gently stepping on Sailub's lap.
He looked a bit different from usual, not as lively and mischievous. He didn't resemble the Pon who would act like a little trumpet.
He was even more unlike how Pon acted in school, always exuding a sense of arrogance due to his superior fighting skills, and always looking down on the alphas who came to provoke him.
The current Pon was quiet, soft, and sweet, like a little peach.
Sailub held him, and he didn't resist. His hands obediently grasped Sailub's sleeve as he kept his head low.
In the dream, Sailub could hear his own heartbeat pounding.
It was noisy and unsettling.
In the dream, he closely observed Pon as if meeting him for the first time.
He looked at Pon's eyes and brows, his soft lips, his delicate chin, and his slender neck.
He even caught a whiff of Pon's pheromones.
The scent of orchids engulfed him, like an overwhelming net that captured him within and trapped him there.
This fragrance was also different from the usual. Just a faint smell made a possessive desire surge within him, almost bordering on violence.
It felt as if the entire world was his enemy, and he had to thoroughly mark Pon, hide him away, so that only he could find him.
In the dream, Sailub clenched his fist.
He gazed at Pon without saying a word, then suddenly lowered his head and kissed him.
Pon's lips were moist, as soft as the peach blossoms in spring.
His small, delicate teeth gently parted, allowing Sailub's tongue to invade.
His hand hooked around Sailub's neck, and in the gaps between their kisses, he mumbled Sailub's name in a muffled, breathy voice.
