Pavel left, but the onlookers were reluctant to let the spectacle end.

They stretched out their necks, still watching Pon and Sailub.

When Pavel threw him the gift, Pon didn’t react in time. It was only after he left that Pon looked to see what was in his arms.

It was quite heavy.

Upon opening it, he found a pair of sneakers. It was limited edition, and coincidentally the same pair that Pon had failed to get his hands on.

Pon’s eyes were almost glued to the shoes.

“Damn, this guy really knows how to pick gifts.”

He couldn’t resist the temptation to touch the shoes. They were released in limited quantities.

He was a bit late to make the purchase and they were immediately sold out.

Sailub’s face grew even darker.

The gift he had prepared for Pon for the New Year was the exact same thing.

Even purchased at a high price.

Yet, before he had the chance to give it, Pavel had beaten him to it.

He swiftly closed the box in Pon’s arms with a bam.

“Stop looking. I have one too, specially bought for you. Stop drooling over this kind of ill-intention item.”

Pon suddenly lost his interest in the one in his hands, he hadn’t planned on accepting it in the first place.

He was overjoyed and walked across the street with Sailub. “Really? When did you buy it?”

Sailub wasn’t happy with Pon holding onto the box, so he snatched it away. “I ordered it a long time ago, but it’s still on its way. I originally planned to give it to you as a New Year’s gift.”

Pon started to smile happily.

But when he saw Sailub about to toss the box into the trash bin, he quickly stopped him. “Don’t throw it away. I’ll give it back to him later. I don’t want to accept someone else’s things.”

Upon hearing this, Sailub decided not to throw it away.

“You don’t need to go. I’ll give it back to him.”

In the meantime, he can also warn that jerk not to have any ideas about Pon.

The two of them went to have beef and vermicelli soup for dinner, along with a basket of steamed dumplings.

Pon added too much chill, it was so spicy that it made his nose sweat.

Sailub couldn’t help but gaze at Pon’s reddened lips that were slightly swollen from the spice.

They looked pitiful, but also a bit like they had swelled up from being kissed.

He involuntarily recalled the dream he had.

In the dream, Pon sat on the windowsill, swinging his legs and lifting his head to kiss him.

Sailub lowered his head and took a sip of soup like a cover-up, but accidentally choked on a chili and ended up coughing violently.

Pon even heartlessly laughed at him from the side.

After finishing dinner, they had to return to school for evening self-study.

As they took their seats, several troublesome friends were already in position from all directions, their eyes shining brightly as they looked at the two of them.
