Because of Sailub’s simple “Guess,” Pon couldn’t fall asleep for the rest of the one-hour ride.
In his mind, he had already run through all the suspicious candidates, almost even considering the canteen’s lunch lady.
However, Sailub remained tight-lipped, wearing a calm expression.
“You’ll know sooner or later,” Sailub told him as they were about to get off the train. “I’ll tell you once I’ve made up my mind.”
With his chin propped up his hand, Pon looked at him with suspicion. “Could it be that you’ve fallen for someone you shouldn’t fall in love with? And you’re engaging in a forbidden love? Sailub Hemmawich, you’re not that daring, are you?”
Sailub chuckled and replied helplessly, “It’s not that extreme.”
When they got off the train, Pon couldn’t get this matter out of his mind. Since Sailub refused to spill the beans, he could only let it go for now.
He trusted that Sailub wouldn’t keep him in the dark forever, there must be a compelling reason not to say it now.
But still, he couldn’t help being curious…
Dragging his suitcase behind him, Pon followed Sailub, lost in thought.
What kind of person would Sailub like? Probably an omega, right?
It must be someone beautiful and gentle enough to captivate Sailub, since he’s as tough as nails.
Pon lowered his head and kicked a small pebble on the road.
The pebble flew nearly a meter away before bouncing off the stairs and hitting the ground.
The five-star hotel managed by Belle’s uncle was located in the city center, with an excellent location and environment.
Because they were all Belle’s classmates, they were generously offered discounts and reserved the best suite on the top floor.
However, Belle’s uncle was currently attending a conference overseas and couldn’t come to see her in person.
As the only two omegas, Pon and Danielle each got their own separate rooms, while the rest of the group shared a two-floor suite.
But the room numbers of the three rooms were connected, making it easy to visit each other.
“P'Pom, I just can’t see you as a simple omega. If I put you and Danielle in the same room, it feels…” Belle looked conflicted and gestured to Pon, “You know what I mean.”
Pon had no objections to this arrangement at all. He couldn’t adapt to sharing a room with Danielle himself, he would feel like a scoundrel.
He’d much rather share a room with Sailub.
They settled their luggage in the room, and everyone claimed their respective rooms in the suite before they rushed out of the hotel again.
Dinner was still a while away, so they decided to shop along the nearby streets.
Danielle happened to spot her beloved handbag on sale and immediately dragged Lee Asre to line up at lightning speed.
Pon had no interest in shopping, but when he slipped away to buy a milk tea, he noticed a nearby jewelry store.
In the display case was a men’s black rope bracelet with a golden square pendant in the center, and two round beads on both sides.
The bracelet had a vintage feel, appearing both elegant and not too old-fashioned.
Sipping his milk tea, Pon stood in front of this bracelet for quite some time.
Sailub had gone to buy cheese potatoes for everyone, and the other three scattered to shop.
