Fractured

Argument

"Okay Sorscha, I'll see you tomorrow" Charlotte says
"Oh wait Marjorie said she wants to see you before you go" Sorscha says
"Oh okay I'll go now, bye!" Charlotte says as she leaves the room.

"Hi Marjorie, Sorscha said you wanted to see me" Charlotte says as she enters the office.
"Hello my love, yes I did, have a seat" Marjorie says
Charlotte sits down.
"Did you want me to drive you home today? Or you can stay in the guest room at my and Reece's house again if you'd like?" Marjorie offers.
"Thanks for the offer Marjorie but, um, Mia's picking me up" Charlotte says.
She had a bit of hesitation in her voice when she says Mia's name, because she doesn't know what Marjorie will say.
Autumn looks up, with a confused and worried look on her face.
"Oh. Okay then." Marjorie says confused, "Are you sure Charlotte?"

"Yeah I'm sure, we haven't talked in weeks and she's said she's sorry so I'm going to go to hers after work." Charlotte answers
"Why though, after what she's put you through, why? She shouldn't be able to get away with it, what if she does it again? Charlotte you can't go with her" Marjorie says, she's worried
Autumn realises Marjorie's tone. She notices she's just worried but she's also that she's not going about it the right way.
"Marjorie I'll be fine I promise" Charlotte says
"No Charlotte you can't go with Mia, I can't trust she won't hurt you again, your not going with her" Marjorie argues

-The argument continues for a while and continues to escalate-

"Marjorie I know your just trying to look out for me but in the end I'm a grown woman and I can make my own decisions" Charlotte explains
"Charlotte no. I can't let you go with Mia"
"Marjorie I'm going with Mia"
"Charlotte after all I've done for you to protect you, you just go with Mia! I've let you stay in my house I've done so much and you don't care!"
"Marjorie that's not what's happening! I appreciate it so much what everyone has done for me but at some point I can't stay any longer! I have my children that I want to see more often!"
"You know what fine but don't expect me to come running when something happens"

Charlotte looks hurt
She's taken aback by what Marjorie said
She doesn't say anything.
She just stands up.
And walks out.
With tears in her eyes.

Marjorie looks out the window and watches Charlotte.
She walks through the carpark to where Mia is stood, next to her car.
They hug then get in the car and drive off.
As they leave the carpark Marjorie turns around to see Autumn staring at her.
