Fractured

Mia throws a glass cup right at Charlottes face.
It hits Charlotte just under her eye.
It smashes into thousands of little pieces.
The force of the glass hitting Charlotte was enough to knock her the floor.
Autumn rushed over to Charlotte, who is now lying on the floor. Mia can't see Charlotte as she's just behind one of the desks. Autumn is kneeling on the floor with Charlotte,
"Charlotte can you hear me?" She says.
Charlotte doesn't answer.
"Charlotte I'm here don't worry"
Charlotte could hear Autumn but slowly her voice started fade.

Autumn reaches for her phone in her pocket and dials three numbers into her phone

999

999- 999 what's your emergency?

A- Hi I work at the knight nursery and one of the staff members is unconscious and bleeding from under her eye.

999- Okay we will have an ambulance with you asap. Please apply pressure on the wound to try and control the bleeding. If she does wake up please make sure she stays lying down.

A-Okay I will thank you.

While on the phone autumn didn't realise Mia had left. But she didn't care, all she cared about was making sure Charlotte was okay.

As Marjorie and Reece were walking into the Nursery they hear sirens coming up behind them. They turn around and see an ambulance turning the corner of their nursery.
As the paramedics are rushing into the office Marjorie and Reece rush after them. They didn't know what had happened.
As they enter the office they see Charlotte on the floor. She was still unconscious.
"Charlotte?!" Marjorie shouts out of shock.
Before she can think she watches as Charlotte is being carried out of the nursery by the paramedics and put in the back of the ambulance.
Autumn rides with Charlotte and they speed of down the street leaving Marjorie and Reece in the office. Marjorie starts to cry.

At this point Carly Winter and Sorscha have all finished their shift and barge into the office. They want to know why their friend has just been taken away in an ambulance.
They look around and see the mess. They look at the floor and see the broken glass with blood all around it.

"What's happened to Char!" Carly shouts, already crying.
"I. I don't know" Marjorie says.
"Is she okay? Why was she bleeding? Why did she get taken away in an ambulance!?" Carly shouts worried for her best friend
Reece takes Carly out of the office to try and calm her down.

Marjorie Sorscha and Winter just stood there in silence.
