An Unexpected Return (Edmund x Female Reader)

Chapter 8: Some secrets revealed

Y/N and Edmund had been there for a little while, but that didn't matter to her.
Her friend was in tears, caused by a woman she came to know as Jadis.

What had she done to him?

That question had been lingering in her mind for a while now.
But now was not the time.

After a while, Edmund had gone quiet. He'd stopped crying and was now incredibly exhausted, the adrenaline long since left him.

Y/N helped him up and walked him into the castle, taking him up to the bed chambers.
With the help of Piper, she got Edmund to his room and helps him into bed.
Putting the covers over him, she gives him a smile.

"You rest."

Edmund looks at her but nods, turning onto his side.
She moves to leave but before she does she turns around.

"Oh and Edmund?"

He looks over at Y/N.

"Don't get up and wonder about alright? I know how stubborn you get."

This manages to get a small smile out of Edmund, which makes her smile.

She then leaves, a Satyr standing guard on the left side of the door.

"Make sure he doesn't get up and leave." Y/N says to the Satyr in a kind tone.
The Satyr gives her a smile and a bow.

"Of course ma'am."

She gives them a nod of thanks then she begins to walk down the corridor, stopping at Caspian's room.

She then thinks for a moment.

Perhaps she could learn something about what had happened to Edmund when he first came to Narnia from Caspian.

"Are you alright Y/N?" A small voice says.

Y/N looks down, seeing Piper by her feet.

"Yes i am. I...i don't suppose i could speak with Caspian?"

Piper gives her a smile and a nod. He walks over to the Satyr guarding the door and looks up at him.

"We would like to see Caspian if we may?" Piper asks, looking up at the Satyr.

"They may." A voice says from inside the room.
The voice belonging to Caspian.

The Satyr bows and opens the door, letting Y/N and Piper inside.

His room had been cleaned since she and Edmund had entered earlier.
Caspian was sitting up in his bed.

Y/N couldn't help but notice the dried blood that lay in the rug at the centre of the room though...

"I assume you are Y/N yes?" Says Caspian, making her look up quickly.

"Yes, i am. How are you feeling?" She says, walking over to him.

Piper walks over and jumps up onto a chair near the bed as Y/N sits on the edge of Caspian's bed.

"I am feeling better now I'm away from her, that's for certain." He says, rolling his shoulders a little.

Y/N nods, looking down.

Caspian then tilts his head a little.
"Are you alright?"

Y/N looks up at him. She pauses for a moment but then sighs.

"It's Edmund. I have never seen him like that before. He never told me much about Jadis, certainly nothing about what she may have done to him."

Caspian sat there and listened as she spoke, seeing clearly now what was troubling her.
