Edmund wondered around the castle for a while, beginning to wonder if Y/N had left already.

He certainly hoped that wasn't the case.

She was right, what he and Caspian suggested was reminiscent of what he went through by the hands of Jadis. He couldn't do that to her.

He wonders and wonders the corridors, looking left to right, trying to find her.

But, just as he is about ready to assume she had left, he found her.

She was in the library, sat on the floor infront of the fireplace, a small fire dancing within it.

With her knees close to her chest and the book on Charn sat next to her on the floor, she breathed deeply, knowing Edmund was there.

As her head was bowed Edmund couldn't see her face but he could tell she was upset.

He takes a deep breath as he sits down next to her, sitting with his elbows resting on his bent knees as he stares into the fire, not knowing entirely what to say.

The silence that entered was deafening and remained for a while, neither one of them having any words to share.

....
.......

"I'm, very sorry we upset you. We were so caught up in the protection of Narnia that we didn't stop to consider how you would feel on the matter of being kept in the castle. I don't want you to feel like you are a prisoner." He says, breaking the silence.

Y/N doesn't respond straight away. She knows he is sorry and she didn't blame him, nor Caspian. They were doing what they thought is best for the good of Narnia as they had done so many times before.

But, she wasn't quite sure they were right this time.

"I lied." Y/N says, making Edmund look at her.

"I- I'm sorry?"

"I lied, about my dream." Y/N says.

Edmund wasn't all that surprised but part of him felt hurt. Then again, he never told her everything either. Beginning to understand how Y/N had felt countless times when he had lied about things in the past, he stays quiet, letting her continue on.

"I, i had a dream about Jadis."

Edmund begins to get nervous.

"Did, she hurt you?" Edmund asks hesitantly.

Y/N then shakes her head.

"No we just, spoke."

This surprised Edmund.

Just spoke? With, her?

"What about?" He asks.

Y/N moves so that she is now sat cross legged on the floor.
She rests her hands in her lap and looks down.

"We spoke about Charn and her, Athelia too."

She then pauses, looking at Edmund with a face he could only describe as a strange mix of betrayal and confusion.

"You were wrong. Jadis never had any plans to kill Athelia nor did she actually do it....A widespread illness killed her not Jadis. She actually sat by Athelia's bedside as she died."

As her tone shifts Edmund, out of sheer natural reaction, flinches back a little, his eyes widening as she begins to get rather angry to his suprise.

"She was grieving! But cast it aside and became cold! And cruel! She's been hurt so much! You made me believe she was this cruel woman with nothing but a love to be feared! You were wrong about her!"
