The rest of the day passed by quickly. Caspian and Edmund had since gone to see to the last scouting group that had come back as the day neared its end while Y/N had decided to spend the rest of her day in the library.

As the day drew to a close Edmund, Caspian and Y/N all said their goodnights and sleep wells before heading to their respective rooms.

--Y/N's room--

The second she shut her door, she yawned.

She should get a few hours rest.

Getting into bed, she takes the stone out of her pocket and lays it under her pillow. Then lying down, she shuts her eyes.

She was ready to go on a little adventure of her own.....

-------------------

The castle lay as cold as ever as she sat on a bed, carved from ice.
Tracing her hand along it she smiles, looking forward to her next visitor.
A more permanent visitor, she hoped...

------------------

Opening her eyes, Y/N sat up, looking over to the window. The curtains covered them but she got herself out of bed and walked over, opening both.
Knowing that guards would be stationed all around the grounds she had to be careful.
A guard stood outside her room door also, so she had to be quiet.

She quietly slips on her day clothes with a few extra layers for warmth. Then, she grabs her sword and attaches the scabbard to her belt, just as Edmund and Caspian had shown her....

She shakes the memory from her head.

Then, walking over to her bed she grabs the stone, clutching it tightly as she slips it into her pocket.

With a deep breath she takes in her room one last time.

She then opens the doors to her balcony. Feeling the cold, night air hit her face as she looked out towards the forest.

Once she hit the treeline and into the forest, she could relax a bit.

She grabs a rope she found the day before and ties it around the balcony railing, tugging on it to make sure it could take her weight.

Once she feels comfortable she throws the rest of the rope over, it now dangling towards the snow covered ground.

She looks down. It was rather far.

Taking a deep breath she nods.

I can do this.

She then climbs over the railing and holding tightly onto the rope, she slowly descends to the ground below.

It only took a moment but soon she felt the snow beneath her feet as she landed on the ground safely, to her utter relief.

She had no choice but to leave the rope, she couldn't exactly tug it down.

Ignoring the rope she looks ahead. The western gate sat quite a ways to her right. Though, it was close enough where she could see the guards stationed at the gate.

She decided to get low and make her way towards the treeline slowly.

First she needed to reach the hedges Infront of her, then maneuver around them until she reached a small stone wall. After that there was a large courtyard of sorts that the stone wall also surrounded, to run across without being seen.

It was a gamble but what choice did she have?

She takes another deep breath and then begins to put her plan in motion.
