Edmund's eyes don't leave the spot where he last saw Jadis as she walked away.
She has the blade, and it's his fault, he'd helped her, again.
He then gained a flood of bad memories...While Edmund was experiencing this, Caspian had already gotten up and helped Y/N up. Her eyes were stuck on Edmund as he looked overwhelmed with guilt, she could see that. It was plastered all over his face.
Caspian could see it too."You talk to him, i need to make sure Jadis has left." He whispers to Y/N.
She nods and Caspian pats her shoulder gently as he grabs his sword and leaves the library,. Edmund not even noticing.
Edmund's gaze had since dropped to the floor, his breathing slowly relaxing.
"Edmund?" Y/N says gently, looking at him.
He looks up at her, not having it in him to try and hide his feelings right now.
"I'm fine. Let's just go." He says, walking past her and towards the door to the library.
She watches him for a moment before running over and picking up the book on Charn, clutching it close as she runs to catch up with Edmund.
Walking into the corridor, Y/N begins to walk beside Edmund.
"You, you don't need to feel guilty Edmund." She says as they walk.
Edmund bows his head as he walks.
"She put you in an impossible situation, you did the right thing. Besides, she still needs more pieces of the stone knife so as long as she doesn't get them, we'll be alright." She explains reassuringly.
She notices Edmund nod a little.
He then stops, making her stop.
"Thank you. For the reassurance." He says, giving her a small smile.
She gives him a smile back as they continue to walk.
They wonder around the castle, guards running past them left and right.
Then eventually, they find Caspian in a sort of meeting room. A long, large table sat in the middle of the room with many chairs positioned around it.
Caspian is stood at the opposite end from the door, looking out of the window..
The snow was really coming down now.
Edmund and Y/N walks over to him.
"Ah, its you two. Are you alright Edmund?" He says, nodding to Edmund.
He nods and gives him a small smile, Caspian giving him a smile and a nod in response.
"Is she gone?" Y/N asks, walking over to the window, looking out at the snow falling onto the gardens of Cair.
"Yes, she left quite quickly after taking the blade." Caspian says, putting his hand on his hip as he looks outside the window again.
As he does this, Edmund leans against the table, crossing his arms and looking at the window.
"Usually the snow would be pretty but, not in this case." Y/N says with a sombre tone.
As silence fills the space for a moment, Caspian's face turns to one of someone deep in thought.
He then looks at Edmund."Edmund?"
He turns his gaze to Caspian.
"Yes?"
Caspian then leans his elbow against the window as his brow furrows slightly.
