After ordering the food, the group waited impatiently in the living room, still buzzing from their brief encounter with Rin. Every time Sae’s older brother so much as passed by the door, all eyes followed him. The tension in the air was almost suffocating, but no one seemed to mind—except for Sae, of course.

The food arrived, and everyone gathered around the table, trying to act normal. But it was impossible not to steal glances at Rin, who had come back downstairs to eat with them. He was quiet, focused on his food, while the rest of the group struggled to keep their composure.

Kaiser, who usually had something cocky to say, was oddly silent as he stared at Rin from across the table. Nagi, never one to care about much, kept glancing over from behind his bangs. Even Shidou, who normally had no filter, seemed to be choosing his words more carefully—though that didn’t stop him from occasionally letting out a low whistle whenever Rin moved.

Sae noticed all of it, of course, but he chose to ignore it. He was used to his friends acting stupid, but this was a new level of ridiculous.

Rin, however, seemed unfazed by all the attention. After finishing his meal, he stood up, dusting off his hands. "Thanks for the food," he said quietly, addressing Sae before turning to head upstairs again.

As he walked past the group, Isagi suddenly spoke up, his voice a little too eager. "Uh, Rin, wait!"

Rin paused, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

"We, uh…we were kind of struggling with this project," Isagi said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Do you think you could help us out?"

Everyone else perked up immediately, eyes wide with anticipation. Sae glared at Isagi, but Isagi avoided his gaze, determined to get Rin to stay a little longer.

Rin glanced at the pile of papers and open laptops scattered around the room. "I don’t know if I’d be much help," he said, shrugging. "It’s been a while since I’ve done stuff like that."

Bachira jumped in, his grin wide. "Oh, come on! You’d probably be way better at it than us!"

"Yeah, and you’re way smarter than Sae," Shidou added with a smirk, earning an elbow to the ribs from Sae.

Rin’s lips twitched, a hint of amusement crossing his face. He glanced at Sae, as if checking for some kind of permission, but Sae just rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"Fine," Rin said, sighing. "I’ll take a look."

The group practically cheered as Rin walked over and sat on the floor, picking up one of the papers and scanning it. Sae settled back on the couch, clearly trying to hide his annoyance but secretly relieved that maybe, just maybe, they could finally get something done.

For the next hour, Rin helped them organize their thoughts, though he mostly directed his comments to Sae. The others watched in awe as he calmly pointed out where they had gone wrong and offered suggestions on how to fix it. His voice was steady, low, and somehow captivating.

But while Rin was focused on the work, the rest of the group couldn’t stop sneaking glances at him. Every time Rin leaned over the table or ran a hand through his hair, someone’s eyes followed.

At one point, Nagi whispered to Isagi, “He’s like…so cool without even trying. Do you think he knows?”

Isagi nodded, his voice equally low. “I don’t think he cares. That’s what makes him cooler.”

Kaiser, sitting back with a smirk, added, “Of course, he knows. You don’t look like that and not know what kind of effect you have on people.”

Bachira chuckled, his voice barely above a whisper. “Sae’s probably used to it by now. No wonder he’s so grumpy.”

Sae heard that, narrowing his eyes at Bachira, who quickly raised his hands in surrender. “I didn’t say anything!”

Once the group started to get a handle on the project, Rin stood up, dusting off his jeans. “You should be able to finish the rest on your own,” he said, his eyes flicking over to Sae. “Let me know if you need anything else.”

Sae nodded. “Thanks.”

But as Rin turned to leave, Shidou—of course it was Shidou—couldn’t help himself. “Hey, Rin, you’re not gonna disappear on us, are you? We might need more help later. Plus, it’s not every day we get graced by a living work of art.”

Rin paused in the doorway, raising an eyebrow. Sae shot Shidou a deadly glare, but Rin just shook his head, a faint smile ghosting his lips.

“I’ll be upstairs,” Rin said simply, before disappearing into the hallway.

The moment Rin was out of sight, the room exploded into chaos.

“Okay, seriously,” Shidou said, leaning back with a wide grin. “He’s, like, the perfect guy.”

“Agreed,” Kaiser added, folding his arms. “Why didn’t you tell us your brother was this…interesting, Sae?”

“Interesting?” Sae repeated, glaring at him. “You guys are acting like you’ve never seen an attractive person before.”

“Not like that,” Bachira chirped, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “He’s like…mysterious. And cool. And pretty.”

“And taller than all of us,” Nagi muttered, clearly bothered by the fact that he wasn’t the tallest person in the room for once.

Sae groaned, running a hand through his hair. “You guys are hopeless.”

Isagi, who had been quiet for a while, finally spoke up. “Do you think we could…you know, hang out here more often?”

Everyone immediately turned to Sae with hopeful expressions.

“Yeah,” Bachira added, grinning. “It’s not like we don’t have a good reason to come over.”

Sae narrowed his eyes. “You mean my brother.”

They all nodded in unison.

“Unbelievable,” Sae muttered, but deep down, he knew he wasn’t going to get rid of them that easily.

Shidou leaned in, his grin wide. “So, when’s the next project due? Because I’m thinking we need a few more study sessions…here.”

“Yeah, and maybe we could do, like, a soccer game in your backyard,” Isagi suggested, trying to sound casual. “And Rin could—”

“No,” Sae cut him off sharply. “We’re not dragging Rin into this. He’s got his own stuff to deal with.”

But even as Sae tried to put his foot down, he knew his friends wouldn’t listen. It was already too late. From now on, every time they needed to meet up, his house would be the number one choice.

And not because of him. But because of his older brother, who had unintentionally captivated the hearts of every single one of his teammates.

Sae let out a long sigh, leaning back against the couch as his friends continued to babble on excitedly about Rin.
