Older rin!
Remake because i hated the other oneSae sat in the middle of the living room, surrounded by his friends who were all doing their best to contribute to the school project. Isagi was flipping through pages of a textbook with a confused look, while Nagi lazily tapped at his phone, scrolling through some articles but not really reading them. Kaiser leaned back in his chair, eyes half-closed as if mentally checked out, while Bachira and Shidou were bickering over something irrelevant to the project. The tension in the room was thick—none of them had a clue what they were doing.
"How is this supposed to help us understand anything?" Kaiser grumbled, throwing the textbook onto the table with a loud thud.
Sae, trying to remain patient, sighed and crossed his arms. "If you all could actually focus for more than two seconds, maybe we'd get somewhere."
"I am focusing," Shidou replied, raising an eyebrow. "It's just boring as hell."
"Shouldn't you be good at this? I mean, you're the genius among us," Nagi chimed in, yawning.
Sae shot him a glare. "I'm trying, but having five idiots doesn't exactly make things easier."
Suddenly, the sound of the front door creaking open echoed through the house. Everyone paused, and even Sae seemed slightly surprised. He glanced toward the door, his brows furrowing in confusion.
"Wait... Is he already home?" Sae muttered under his breath, more to himself than to anyone else.
"Who?" Isagi asked, leaning forward with curiosity.
Before Sae could answer, soft, almost delicate footsteps began approaching from the hallway. All six boys stared at the living room entrance, waiting to see who was about to walk in. A moment later, a figure appeared—a boy, about two or three years older than them, with an almost ethereal beauty that left everyone speechless.
The boy had smooth, flawless skin, and his body was slender yet perfectly proportioned, giving off a feminine grace. He wore a cropped top that revealed his small waist, and a pair of short shorts that highlighted his long, toned legs. His dark hair fell softly around his face, framing his large, captivating eyes. The room was dead silent as the boy glanced around, his expression calm and uninterested.
"Rin," Sae said, his voice breaking the silence. "You're home early."
Rin nodded, his lips curling into a faint, polite smile. "If you guys need anything, just let me know. I'll be in my room," he said, his voice soft and melodic—almost like he was singing every word.
Rin turned around and walked upstairs, his footsteps disappearing into the background as he ascended. For a few moments, the living room remained silent. Everyone was processing what just happened.
Bachira was the first to break the silence. "Holy crap, Sae... that was your brother?"
Sae sighed. "Yeah. That was Rin."
"Why didn’t you tell us you had a brother like that?" Shidou asked, his eyes still wide with shock.
"Like what?" Sae asked, already irritated by the sudden bombardment of questions.
"Like that," Kaiser repeated, gesturing with his hands like he was trying to draw Rin's figure in the air. "Are you sure he's not a model or something?"
Sae rolled his eyes. "No, he's not a model. He's just... Rin."
"But dude!" Bachira leaned forward with a grin. "He’s gorgeous! Is he single? Does he have an Instagram?"
"No." Sae’s response was quick and firm. "And even if he did, you guys wouldn’t stand a chance."
Isagi blushed. "I-I wasn’t even asking for that..."
"Liar," Shidou teased, elbowing Isagi. "Admit it, you’ve got a crush now."
"Shut up," Isagi muttered, looking away, his cheeks turning redder.
"Rin’s a lot older than us," Sae said, folding his arms. "So don’t get any weird ideas."
"He’s only like, what, two years older? That’s not that much older," Nagi pointed out, surprisingly more alert now. "What’s his deal? Does he study? Work?"
"He goes to university. That’s all I’m telling you." Sae shot them all a warning glare, clearly uncomfortable with the sudden interest in his brother.
Kaiser leaned in, smirking. "So... what’s it like growing up with a brother who looks like he walked out of a magazine?"
Sae groaned, rubbing his temple. "Can we please focus on the project? You guys are getting distracted."
But there was no stopping them now. Bachira tilted his head, his playful grin growing wider. "Does he dress like that all the time? Not that I'm complaining, but it’s a look."
"Yeah, like, is he always this... stunning?" Isagi added, still a bit flustered.
"Rin just dresses how he wants," Sae replied, clearly tired of the conversation. "I don’t care what he wears as long as he doesn’t touch my stuff."
"Bro, if I had a brother that hot, I’d be worried about way more than just my stuff," Shidou said with a grin, earning a punch on the shoulder from Sae.
Before Sae could respond, Nagi suddenly spoke up. "I’m hungry."
Everyone paused, their focus shifting immediately. Bachira’s stomach growled in agreement.
"Yeah, me too," Isagi admitted.
"Same here," Kaiser shrugged.
Sae sighed, ready to snap at them again for being off-topic, but before he could say anything, they all heard Rin’s soft footsteps descending the stairs once more. He entered the living room again, looking at Sae with those same calm eyes.
"Rin, do you want something to eat?" Sae asked, trying to ignore the way his friends were all staring at Rin like they were mesmerized.
Rin shook his head, his voice like a gentle breeze. "No, I'm fine. Thanks."
His voice seemed to have an almost hypnotic effect on everyone. Bachira’s grin grew wider, and Shidou raised an eyebrow in admiration.
"That voice... Are we sure he’s human?" Kaiser mumbled under his breath.
As Rin turned to head back upstairs, Isagi couldn’t help but blurt out, "Your voice... it’s really nice."
Rin paused for a brief moment, offering Isagi a soft, unreadable smile. "Thanks," he said simply, before disappearing back upstairs.
As soon as Rin was out of earshot, the room erupted.
"Did you hear that? Did you hear that?" Bachira practically squealed. "He sounds like a freaking angel!"
Kaiser nodded in agreement. "Yeah, there’s something about him. It’s like... perfect."
Sae buried his face in his hands. "You guys are impossible."
After they quickly finished eating some snacks, the group went back to their half-hearted attempts at working on the project. However, their focus was clearly elsewhere. Every now and then, one of them would shoot a glance toward the stairs, probably hoping for Rin to come back down.
Just when things were starting to calm down, there was a sudden knock at the door.
Sae raised an eyebrow. "Who could that be?"
The group looked at each other, equally confused. Sae stood up and made his way to the door, his hand on the handle. As he turned the knob and opened the door, the light from the hallway spilled out onto the front porch, revealing the silhouette of someone familiar—but completely unexpected.
Sae’s eyes widened as he realized who it was. "You…?"
The rest of the group sat up, their curiosity piqued.
Who was at the door, and why did Sae seem so shocked?
The silence that followed was almost unbearable.
