Chirag sat in the drawing room, gazing up at the family photo hanging on the wall. The house, which had been bustling with laughter and chatter just hours earlier during Aashvi's baby shower, now lay quiet. The decorations were still up, streamers draped across the ceiling, flowers adding splashes of color to the corners of the room. The soft hum of murmured conversations could be heard in the background as some guests rested while others shared stories in small groups. But in the drawing room, it was just him, Rajdeep, and Krishiv.
Rajdeep, his samdhi, and Krishiv, Rajdeep's younger brother, were sitting with him, sipping tea. It had been a long day, filled with joy, celebration, and emotions running high. But now, as the day winded down, a different kind of emotion settled over Chirag – the bittersweet weight of knowing his daughter is married and leave his home.
Chirag cleared his throat, breaking the silence.
"Rajdeep?"
He called softly, his voice still warm but carrying an unmistakable weight. He had been meaning to speak to him about something that had been weighing on his heart, something he needed to express as a father.
Rajdeep immediately turned to him, his expression attentive.
