The man sighed in tiredness as he glanced inside the hospital room where Aashvi lay on the bed with closed eyes. He sighed again and answered his younger brother in call.
"Bhai? Kaha ho yaar aap? It's already late, and you are not home still."
"At the hospital, Ekansh."
"Hospital? Waha kya kar rahe ho aap? Kuch hua kya aapko?"
Ekansh's worried tone echoed on the other side of the phone as the man sighed again and spoke.
"Listen, chote, I'm fine. When I was coming home, I met a girl who had passed out on the road, so I took her to the hospital."
"Ohh, is she okay?"
"Yeah, she is fine, but her family members are not here. I haven't called them because I don't know her. I'll wait until she regains consciousness, then I'll come home soon."
"Okay, but bhai, take care. I'll inform Badi maa."
The man nodded as he cut the call. Soon, a nurse came and informed him to come inside the room as Aashvi woke up again. He stood up and walked inside the room, seeing Aashvi sitting on the bed with the help of a nurse. Her tone made him feel something in his heart, but it was not a good feeling.
"Is my baby...?"
Aashvi panicked as she looked at the nurse and doctor, who nodded and gave her a comforting smile.
"Yes, the baby and you are both fine, Miss."
The doctor said as he checked her blood pressure. The man stood at the door looking at her, but her words shocked him when he realized she was talking about her baby. She was pregnant? She looked so young, and he was shocked that she was married at such a young age.He stood there, looking at her as the doctor checked her.
