.....

It was an unusually quiet evening in the Oberoi mansion. The sun had dipped below the horizon, casting an orange glow over the sprawling estate. Aashvi stood in their bedroom, silently folding Vraj's clothes and packing his bag for his upcoming transfer.

Her movements were deliberate, her expression calm yet tinged with annoyance. The source of her displeasure was seated across the room—Vraj, who was watching her with a mixture of guilt and frustration.

"Treasure? Come on,"

he said, his tone a mix of pleading and teasing.

The nickname, usually enough to bring a smile to her face, now fell on deaf ears. Aashvi continued her task, ignoring him entirely. She was upset, and for good reason. Earlier that day, Vraj had eaten the last bit of her ice cream. When she had asked him to buy her a new one, he had refused, claiming,

"No, Treasure. You'll catch a cold."

His protective nature, though endearing, had cost him dearly this time.Vraj let out a dramatic sigh, running a hand through his hair as he leaned back against the headboard. He hated when Aashvi gave him the silent treatment.

The usually lively and warm atmosphere between them felt cold and distant, and it gnawed at him. Desperate to make amends, he stood up and approached her.As Aashvi zipped up the suitcase, Vraj bent down without warning and scooped her up in his arms. The sudden action made her gasp.

"VRAJ!"

she shrieked, her voice echoing through the quiet room.

"Shhh,"

he hushed her, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. He adjusted her in his arms, making sure she was secure, and began walking out of the bedroom.

"Put me down! Someone might see us!"

Aashvi protested, glancing around nervously. Her hands instinctively clung to his shoulders, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of pink. Despite her protests, there was a spark of warmth in her eyes—a telltale sign that she wasn't entirely immune to his antics.Ignoring her protests, Vraj carried her through the hallway, his steps confident and steady.

He made his way to the balcony on the second floor, a secluded spot that overlooked the lush gardens below. The evening breeze greeted them as he stepped outside, carrying with it the faint scent of jasmine.

The sky was painted in hues of orange and pink, the last remnants of daylight fading into twilight.Once they reached the swing on the balcony, Vraj carefully sat down, settling Aashvi on his lap. The gentle creak of the swing echoed in the stillness of the evening.

"Let me go,"

Aashvi said, her tone firm but not harsh. She tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but Vraj held her securely, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

"Please, Treasure,"

he said, his voice soft and filled with sincerity.

"Forgive me. I'll buy you a big tub of ice cream tomorrow—any flavor you want. Just talk to me."
