As the first rays of sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, Aashvi stirred in her sleep, gradually awakening to the new day. Blinking her eyes open, she took a moment to absorb her surroundings. The soft fabric of a pregnancy pillow surrounded her, cradling her in a gentle embrace, while the warm blanket cocooned her in comfort. It was a stark contrast to the cold loneliness she had felt in the past months.

She turned her head to the side and found Vraj sitting at the edge of the bed, his posture relaxed yet attentive as if he had been waiting for her to wake up. The sight of him brought a sense of safety she hadn't anticipated. His brows were slightly furrowed in concentration as he looked at something on his phone. Aashvi couldn't help but admire how serene he appeared, the morning light casting a soft glow on his features.

With a soft groan, she shifted, resting her back against the headboard, her heart fluttering with a mix of nervousness and uncertainty about her new life. Everything felt foreign, and she couldn't shake off the lingering shadows of her past.

She glanced at the clock on the bedside table and felt a surge of panic.

"It's late already!"

she exclaimed, her voice still thick with sleep.

"No, it's not,"

Vraj replied, his tone calm and soothing, a smile creeping onto his face.

Aashvi blinked at him, confused, and he held out a glass of pomegranate juice.

"I made this for you. Thought you might like it,"

he said, his voice warm and inviting.

Her heart did a little flip at the unexpected kindness, a stark contrast to Tanishq's false pretense of care that had haunted her memories. For a moment, she hesitated, eyes darting to the glass. But with a deep breath, she closed her eyes, pushing those thoughts aside. She took the glass from him, feeling the coolness of it against her palm, and brought it to her lips. The juice was sweet and tangy, and she savored the refreshing taste.

"T-thank you,"

she stammered, her voice soft as she set the glass back down on the bedside table.
