Tanishq's heart dropped as his eyes widened in shock. He stepped forward to hold her shoulder, attempting to fabricate another lie, but she stepped back, her expression a mixture of fury and hurt, ready to erupt any moment he spoke.
"Aashvi, love, it's not--"
"If it's not, then why is the company facing backlash? Why did you need to have my property in your name too? Why did you stop me from getting further education or allow me to go out much?"
Her questions, each one sharper than the last, stabbed at him. His frustration grew, masking the underlying fear of losing what he had meticulously planned. He shook his head, trying to find the right words, but before he could, a tight slap landed on his left cheek, leaving it stinging and his eyes red with anger.
"IS THIS WHAT YOU GIVE IN RETURN FOR MY LOVE, SELFLESS CARE, AND THE SACRIFICE OF CARRYING YOUR CHILD IN MY WOMB?"
Aashvi shouted, her voice echoing through the room, as she threw a pregnancy report at Tanishq's face. He was stunned. The Aashvi he had known for the past five years was calm, bubbly, and understanding. This Aashvi was unrecognizable, a force of fury and betrayal.
