As the Khans exited the venue, the tension in the air seemed to lift almost instantly. Aashvi let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding. The nerves that had been building in her shoulders eased slightly, but the sting of Mrs. Khan's words still lingered. The implication that Aashvi's life was somehow less meaningful, less valuable because of her divorce, cut deep. Her heart pounded with a mix of shame and anger. She could still hear Mrs. Khan's voice, dripping with disdain:

"Leaving your husband while carrying his child? What kind of woman does that?"

Standing beside her, Priyal subtly reached out, squeezing Aashvi's hand. It was a silent gesture of solidarity, and Aashvi was grateful for the support. She took a deep breath, trying to calm the tumultuous storm of emotions inside her. She wanted to be strong, to show everyone that she wasn't affected by the cruel comments, but the truth was, she felt vulnerable, exposed.

The contrast between the Khans and the Ahujas was stark. As the group moved through the elegantly decorated hall, they approached a table where a warm, welcoming couple stood. Tanupa and Rajdeep Ahuja, longtime friends of Chirag and Manvika, greeted them with genuine smiles.

Rajdeep's laughter echoed as he embraced Chirag in a brotherly hug.

"Chirag! Manvika! It's wonderful to see you both. It feels like ages since our families last gathered like this."

"Yes, it has been too long,"

Manvika agreed, her smile lighting up her face. The sense of camaraderie and familiarity among the Ahujas and Sharmas was palpable, creating a sense of warmth that enveloped the room.
