Lux was avoiding Ahsoka. If this situation wasn't so insane she would have laughed at the irony.
Expect maybe she was still avoiding him too, maybe she was still angry per se.. despite it not being his fault.
Gritting her teeth she trudged back to Anakin's and Obiwans chambers.
She had briefly debated going to Padmes, had seen Clovis in there and pivoted away the next second opting to walk circles around the ship to distract herself.
That had been two hours ago. She was exhausted and sleepy... despite the annoyance of Anakin and sometimes Obiwan, their chambers were still the best option to sleep in.
Walking with a sense of pace she almost collided into Lux, his dazed eyes focusing unforgivingly at her.
Swallowing she rocked back on her heel, waiting for his wrath.
Instead he took a deep breath and said.
"Tano."
They were on a last name basis now.. when had everything between them become so complicated?
Frowning at him she crossed her arms.
"Really? Your being petty now because I expressed my opinion?"
He shifted the helmet he was holding to his other arm. Ashoka focused onto it, hating every part of its metallic design, hating its structure, what it stood for - for Lux.
His mouth twitched as he said.
"I don't understand how you could dislike the fact that I'm out on the front lines, fighting for the mandalorians. How is it any different from what you're doing? From what you've been doing since you were a youngling?"
Ahsoka could only look at his scuffed boots, the boots of a soilder as she said.
"That's different."
"No it's not."
He was so stubborn, so set in what he believed in- so good in arguing for what he thought was right.. Ahsoka winced, that's why he should be a Senator, ignoring the fact that it had always been his dream. She met his face with cold scrutiny.
"I was raised to fight, that may be true. I may have been out there in the clone wars fighting on the front lines for planets and people like the mandalorians. But I was raised into it, it's all I've ever known. All I've ever wanted to do. I was taught nothing else-"
"So?"
"It's different."
"It's doesn't sound that way."
Sighing Ahsoka fisted her palms.
"I was taught to defend myself. To only raise my weapon in self defence, to only fight in the name of peace, in what I believed would keep the galaxy balanced and neutral."
He blinked at her, shocked. She kept going.
"Those are the values of a Jedi, that is how we are taught and how we fight in battles. It's entirely different."
Anger resurfaced on Lux's face.
"That's not how the Jedi fought in the Clone wars."
Ahsoka's tone was nothing but sad she whispered.
"No it was not."
They had lost their way. She had seen that. It had been the main reason she had walked away. But as she studied Lux she could see he didn't understand. His voice was cold as he replied.
"I don't understand why you dislike the fact that I'm willing to fight for what I believe in."
